Still Learning at 38 years old. I love skateboarding. Thanks again to Ryan M. for hooking up the sound upgrade which will be utilized starting next week. In case anyone was wondering the new mic is a Rode wireless ME 👊
Maaaannnn!! Thank you for the sincere shout out. Glad the mic came in safely and going to good use. Can’t wait to see what you do with it. Salute my guy and keep the killer content coming our way. Again, thanks for the huge shout out.
Took some inspiration from you; socked in with snow, cold and ice here in DC. Dropped off my kid at indoor baseball practice, drove around to a few parking garages, found a spot, waxed a curb, and had at it. It was a day for winter hiking boots, but kept the Vans in my car along with my skateboard and scooter. Keep skating!
It was below 20° here in TEXAS of all places for the last 4 - 5 days and my 1 day off this week its pouring rain and 38°. What im tryna say is; thanks for letting me skate vicariously through you today, bud.
Always great videos. Great timing. I was working on manuals yesterday and kickflip nose manual has always been on my mind. Gonna have to get that NBD myself. Thanks for the inspiration man 🤙
Yesss I've never tried learning that trick (cause my kickflips are dirt) you steezed that! Mannies over the metal cap were sick as well. Currently clapping for Ryan, people are awesome
Dude my fickflips are all over the place. I’ve always struggled with them even just on flat I’ll whiff a few every session. I have to constantly fight the mob flip tendencies. I asked my friend who can do them for advice and he was like “you just gotta go for it” which somehow made a lot of sense and it worked out. Usually we overthink shit and make tricks harder than they are but it’s really just making yourself commit. I bet you’d get them if you gave it a solid session.
Yep. Even the parking garages were covered with water and slush. Finally, I found a very small patch of dry land for a small session. I'll take it. Love the mic'd footage. Peace.
I live for you channel and progression!!!! I’m 31 now and I’ve only gotten better and more consistent. Watching your vids give me the same feeling but off board
Yeah it’s been a wet one this last month or so. You ever hitup St.Helena? I visited once when I was still getting my skate legs back and ate shit within like 20 minutes and ruined the session. I need to make another trip out there because I really want to skate that park again
Its also winter here in Austria and really cold outside. 😥 But this week it will be a little warmer. I hope my thigh will heal up soon. So i can enjoy a nice session this week. Luckily in my neighborhood there are some really good loading dock spots with roofs. I love the simplicitiy to be creative and skate what you will find around the corner like loading dock banks or trash cans. As a street skater for the last 27 years this type of skating is more satisfying than the perfect concrete skateparks. 🥰🔥🛹 Sometimes less is more!🙏
Another brilliant video, I took your advise I’m picking a second hand board up tomorrow for £20 and see what if anything I can still do (after 50 attemots😂) I’ve been hooked on your videos lately brother, and the one where you had a bad day, wow I can relate so much, your skating is so easily destroyed psychologically on one of those days 😂❤🏴🤙
Just be patient with yourself, it’s hard to get back into after a long time off. Staying motivated is easier when you set little goals for yourself each week. Don’t forget it’s supposed to be fun 👊
Out here in the Midwest it’s super cold. As long as it’s dry and not in the negative digits I’ll still go skate. Just short sessions and nothing too risky because falling in freezing temperatures hurts so much more.
Yeah I think skateparks can get boring so I try not to film there too much, also don’t want to bring a RU-vidr vibe to the session lol but thank you, I’ll be using the new mic more often so hopefully it will add some more to the videos
I just starting to skate again after quitting for almost 17 years I have to learn everything from the beginning, and now I haven’t been able to skate for a week now because of the snow 😢
I was away from skateboarding for around 13 years so it’s possible, just be patient with yourself. Don’t compare to younger you, just celebrate the little victories. Took me almost a year to get fully comfortable again and then it was just a matter of getting over little fears and figuring out how to get in better shape to stay skating
Manual tricks are just like the Cleveland Browns, maybe next year... lol. Congrats on the nbd... progress after 40 feels different, idk like clock's ticking good thing i landed that before i die of old age 😅
Age is a big motivator for me. If I don’t feel like skating and I have the opportunity to, I think about how someday I may not physically be able to do what I can right now and I get my ass outside asap.
Of course my girl walks in the room right in time to hear “I smell pee over here!” She was like “whut are you watching?”. Also- congrats on the KF nose manny- looked very comfortable!
Epic manual trick on that kinda raggedy spot ! 😅 Which state u in? Your winters are nothing compared to here in Finland -23 C and a meter of snow 😢 got me all depressed
This whole “logic” behind building places that are awesome for skating and adding skatestoppers just blows my mind. Then also pay for private security to guard your concrete blocks. I’m no architect but this doesn’t make much sense to me 😅
