Oh gosh, it's rather sad that your super interesting China series has ended. Anyway, thanks for sharing this informative, knowledgeable and interesting train journey from Kunming to Luang Prabang. Looking forward to to your exploration in Laos. Safe travels, Flora & Note.
Living in CA, native from Vietnam and my mom was from Yunam. Thanks so much for this great video ! You two traveled to my country, to my mom’s native country. I’m much much grateful for what you did. Please take good care of yourself.
Wonderful as always my friends. I hope you are recovering quickly Flora. That hike was a real test of fortitude and physical endurance! You are both real troopers for taking that on for our benefit! Thank you. The information you passed along for that train trip was great. I feel prepared should I ever make that journey. The website was available here in the US so I book marked it. I've used China's train system many times and it is always a very good experience with the exception of spring festival times! China does not have any of the land acquisition and build restriction as we do here in the US so they have made great progress in building and modernizing their mass transit assets. Looking forward to the next series in Laos.
Flora and Note, what a fantastic video! 🌟 Thank you for taking us along on your incredible journeys. We're heading to China next month and hadn't considered the train route from Laos to China. Maybe we could go from Chiang Mai to Vientiane and later hop on the train. Your video opened our eyes to this amazing option! Thank you for the inspiration and safe travels to you both! 🚂✨
Chains people's is very nice and and Chaina is awesome place to visit guys you should also add the prices of the hotels so that the people's in overseas know where is the cheapest place to stay
Im glad Flora came right even though it was a long train ride. Sad that your China series has come to an end. Hope you will be heading back to Chiba with new destinations, It was very well made
Please make a video about you guys experience touring China for one month, I enjoyed watching your China 🇨🇳 videos . I never knew you can take a train from China to other countries in Asia . I know about Macau but I see Macau as part of China 🇨🇳. Traveling can be funny but it’s also exhausting at the same time .
We’re actually doing a livestream Q&A today on RU-vid to answer any questions people have about traveling to China and to share our experience. You can see the scheduled time under the Live tab on our channel ☺️ hope you can join!
Great Video!! I am sure you were tired after that trip. Hope you get well soon Flora. It’s amazing how language can really affect us. I look forward to Laos. Thank you so much for sharing your China trip with us!! Take care. 🙏
That was a tiring train journey! Rest well. I hope you recovered quickly from altitude illness. You both are adorable ….even when looking sick❤ You care for each other so tenderly & sweetly! Your journey to China was epic. Thank you for the breathtaking videos ;) Be well 🇨🇦
I can't wait until the next video cuz I'm sure it's going to have some more of him having to interpret for you and it's kind of cool seeing the tables turned
Welcome to Lao!! Half my family’s home country! Laos has a fraction of Thailand’s tourism industry, but it’s slowly growing again thanks in massive part to the China Lao railway, which should be linking up to Thailand in the next few years. Luang Prabang is my favorite town in Lao. Grab coffee at saffron and cross the street to sit overlooking the majestic Mekong. Make sure to have some khao piak in town. And Kuangsi falls is a must. I’m heading back to Lao and Thailand in December for the umpteenth time. Favorite go to region.
Flora and Note this video is so cool of the both of you going to Laos on a train. Flora and Note this is a great video to begin with the month of June.
For the first time in my life I get to know the languages of Lao and Thai are similar, and you are always welcome to come back to China for a Season 2!!
Soo excited to watch your journey through LP. My favourite town in SE Asia!! So beautiful and relaxing, and the food is out of the world!! Hopefully, the smoke situation is not bad and won’t affect your trip, though..
oh the lady at KFC was saying that and ask u to scan the code was because of the price difference or discount, she seguest u to order on the app. She was tring to save u some money LOL
In fact, there is another reason. Many popular restaurants in China will line up, so they take this way to make you look less crowded and have a better ordering experience.
@@FloraandNote it's a shame that you guys didn't visit 西雙版納,景宏。Btw, I'm from Myanmar and I visited 景宏 from Myanmar's 景東(JingDong or Keng Tung or ကျိုင်းတုံ) many years ago by illigal border crossing. (There's no official border gate at that time ) Since I'm a third generation Myanmar Chinese and know both Chinese writing and speaking, nobody suspected me as a foreigner, and everything went smoothly because I didn't stay overnight there and came back to Myanmar. And I was born in Northern Shan State of Myanmar, so I can understand a bit Shan (Dai) language which is a bit similar with Tai.
Thanks for this informative video. I was searching for this train journey and found it helpful with all information. I will be traveling to Laos on 7th in this train.
Luang Prabang is a beautiful place. Was there many years ago. Stayed in hotel facing the river and watched the fishermen etc hauling their goods from their small ships to the mainland.
Sorry to hear about the attitude sickness. Hopefully it is something unique to your circumstances in China as it could otherwise preclude you exploring Peru as Machu Picchu sits at about 2,440 m, Cusco at about 3,400 m, and Lake Titicaca at 3,830 m. In comparison Lijiang is 2,400m. Relaxing laidback Luang Prabang is the place to recover. A glass of Lao Lao mixed with honey will help even more. Its shame you never go to climb Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. It is stunning. When I conquered it many years ago via the cable car and then staggering with the help of oxygen about 400 m along a boardwalk to 4,508 m I found a man sitting there at a table who awarded me a gold looking medal in return for a small donation. On it he engraved my name and the height. I’m not sure if they still do it. If there's no gold medal waiting for you, is a mountain really worth climbing?
Hi, May I ask you two a few questions please ! I am from US and want to travel to China , but worry about the payment by phone. Can you please give me a few pointers. Also, what app do you use for taxi and direction over there. Thank you much
28:08 in your video: "You HAVE TO DO THIS In China!", what an EPIC shot! I'm sure you are so proud of yourselves, I know how hard it is to walk at high altitude. But what does not kill you...probably, I'll give a pass to the mountain tour, and stick around Lijiang to dig into the local Chinese culture.Thank you for producing such stunning videos of China and sharing your precious insights. I guess, Note's time to lead the way now...
He Guys, saw you in a video with Paddy Doyle. Keep on going! Really like the way you guys seem to film the reality and not just content creation. Going to do the same train but other way around beginning next year.
Praying for a speedy recovery for both of you especially Flora 🥺🙏 from my travels and the different classes on the train, you are right, the chairs in the First Class isn’t as comfortable compared to the 2nd & 3rd classes.. saves you a few bucks and get a meal or two😉😂.. great observation about the smokers Note.. it’s a vice that the government hasn’t clamped down on their peeps “yet” 😜. Now if those chairs were vibrating 🤯. Wonderful and informative Thanks for bringing us all along 🙏🙏
In Vientaine there are massage businesses run by “ legally Blind” people and OMG they are so attentive and their hands are crazy strong .. try to look them up and I’ve gone to two different one and they are worth every penny + Tip😉👍
Note, you looked anxious and helpless without the company of your wife. You need to beef up your surviving skills. The menu actually have photos and they manifest themselves. Communicating verbally actually complicates the communication if one party does not know any English at all.
