I think I was going to cry if she didn’t buy one of his bracelets. However, I understand you can’t buy from everyone. When I was a kid, we went to Mexican border towns once, there were kids selling stuff everywhere. Kids were literally chasing my grandparents motorhome with boxes of “chicle”. It definitely brings some perspective to your eyes as a kid.

I enjoy the fact that Cody and Kelli do research on the areas. They are visiting and the history that they tell us a story almost to their audience is so interesting and it really brings out the fact that they enjoy RV living and exploring the country that they live in and want to know the history and exploring the caves and the museums, and everything about the country that they live in and travel in and enjoy the different cultural foods and the people. That is one thing that I appreciate about this young couple is that they share the country with the people that view the videos, the viewers are just not watching somebody camping, cooking and doing a little hiking or kayaking. We learn from this channel about different parts of the country and for that I think you, Cody and Kelli for your love of our country, and sharing it with us along with your camping adventures.

No American has ever come close to Matamoros, Laredo and others. At least since the Civil War. Even safer towns are under the influence of cartels. Undoubtedly they're exert at least some influence over that town but keep a low profile (no kidnapping, drug dealing limited). But violence raising it's head is bad for tourist business and business can't pay protection money if there aren't tourists to pay in. People use to tell me the tourist resort towns of the Yucatan peninsula were free of the violence in the rest of Mexico. Now they're among the most violent with shootouts common.

@@moltenlab Can't think of the last time we had armies of hundreds of criminals armed with 50 cal machine guns and sniper rilles and every kind of assault rifle, rocket launchers in armored vehicles, threatening to massacre families of law enforcement, shooting down helicopters, forcing the surrender of jailed crimes bosses. Just can recall that..

Don’t let someone else's fear stop you This was so quick and nice. A very good introduction into border crossing for those who have never done it. I have been to MX plenty of times, walking across, driving across, and, of course, flying. Mexico is safe, as safe as the US. There are good areas and bad areas.

The little town reminds me so much a place I visited in 1980; Puerto Peñasco. At that time it was a small, non-commercial seaside town frequented by Norwegians, for some reason. I still have a traditional wool blanket purchased from a local family selling their wares in the cantina. One cantina town then. I understand today it is a developed resort on the Gulf of California. Development strikes again. The sad part is, the artisans whose crafts are sold at these resorts typically only make a mere 10-20% of the resort’s mark-up. They need to turn that around.

I lived in Rosarito for a few years in my 20’s when the surf swells died back in Northern California. You gotta be on your toes. Once they figured out my routines and towards the end I had a lot of issues. I have three lovely knife wound scars from attempted robberies. My best tip is stick to large tourism areas and stay with the crowds. These smaller areas can be a bit sketch if your not a rugged fellow.

Don't know whether or not you will get this, but my wife Marsha and I so enjoy your videos. Unlike similar travelers, you all keep it real. We appreciate when something doesn't work out for you--bugs, truck problems, etc. Not that we celebrate or anything, of course, but you show us the reality of traveling, that setbacks are a part of the experience. You both have an unaffected delivery; you don't try to be funny or clever. You just are. And though food preparation or restaurant visits appear in your videos, you don't go overboard trying to explain with words how the coffee or the dish or the sweet treat tastes. Too much of that can get annoying. We just returned from a stay in Terlingua during Spring Break (we are both teachers). Big Bend was our 37th National Park. We learned so much about what to expect from watching and rewatching these videos. We went to Boquillas del Carmen (bought souvenirs from the stands and from those beautiful children and had goat tacos), the Starlight Theatre Restaurant, the Ghost Town and Cemetery, the Cottonwood Grocery Store. Thank you, thank you, thank you for being genuinely lovely, spirited people. I now call my wife of 42 years Angel Queen.

If you can ride a donkey, then a horse will be comparatively easy and smooth. Generally speaking (since there are exceptions for both) horses are usually more docile and can carry larger weights than donkeys. However, since donkeys have cloven hooves, they're better for climbing mountainous terrain and uneven trails. What an amazing little side trip to that Mexican village that seems so different from the Texas campground. Hard to believe how one rather shallow and narrow river marks the border between the two entities! BTW, did the taco use a homemade corn tortilla? That makes a big difference and corn tortillas have been a staple in Mexican cuisine for over 2500 years! However in Spain, a tortilla means an egg and potato omelet instead of the Latin American flatbread so, if you ever venture there, be aware of the difference.

Hi!!! Love your channel! We are from Northeast Arkansas. We have a 3 year and a baby on the way, due July! Could yall go more in depth how you keep your camper clean and where yall wash y’all’s clothes!! And how much clothes yall keep in camper to get by with! I know it’s different content than what yall post. But I would love to see it!!!

We can try and capture that. We have no pets so I’m sure that helps. We also do not wear shoes in the camper. When Kellie gets board she cleans. Wiping down surfaces behind the bed. Cleaning the Max air fan. Etc. Kellie also cleans the shower every two weeks. We have all the cloths we own with us. We do laundry every week and a half depending and at a laundromat.

So what kind of paperwork do you need to cross? Does this require a passport? Or just an ID? Love the video.

My wife went to the dollar store and bought like 50 bucks worth of pencils and stuff and mailed it to the school cuz they had nothing and no funding. That's a small help. Wish we were rich
