I have just restored a Crossley HDE6 exactly like the one in the video. At the moment I have designed and machined an air starting valve so that I can start the engine otherwise I will need about three strong man to turn it, I will try to take a video clip of the first starting to put it on RU-vid.
Great video, better than the Olympics especially watching Australia! HAHA! Its memorising watching those oil engines running, beautiful pieces of machinery. Cheers, Ian
Myself I'm not an expert on Crossley engines, for information you could write to the "Anson Engine Museum" as they will be able to give more detailed information.
I can detect that you are a expert at crossley engines. I have an old engine which looks like the first that you use in your video. I would like to know some details. For example, does it work with diesel oil? Can I send you any photos to ask you some things? I have one and I am very interested in restore it. Thanks you very much. PS: Can you speak in Spanish? It is esaier for me to speak in Spanish.
