Yes Albert Lee is the boss. Saw him live a few years ago at McCabes Guitar Shop in LA. Small venue and was a really good show. What a professional and a joy to watch his guitar playing skills. He played the keyboards too and is a pretty good singer as well. He stayed after the show and signed autographs. What a kind and cool guy.
Vince Gill, country music jammer who is a renowned guitarist in the music world.Utterly Vince Gill has that aura that enables his friends in the same trade gather around and entertain big crowds of music lovers....cheers. .
Never gets tired of this song!!! Elvis would have been proud of this I am sure. It is a vocalist's dream to have so many legendary guitarists backing you. Vince is fantastic, so underrated. With Vince's presence with the Eagles hopefully he'll get the recognition he has always deserved.
This is why Vince Gil wins Grammy's. GRRRRRRREAT! I saw him play a concert and he played for 2 hrs. straight and then did encore. Wish I could see him again. Fantastic singer and guitar player. And all round nice guy.
When I was sixteen, - I'm now seventy seven, I bought a 45 of Ricky Nelson's " Hello Marylou Goodbye heart " and the guitar solo on there changed my life, and made me want to learn the guitar. I was just out of school, and couldn't afford a set of strings never mind a guitar. I now have a Strat and a Tele, an Ovation ( homage to the late Great Glen Campbell ) and a few more. The solo I mention was played by the great James Burton back in the early sixties - a phenomenal guitarist. I have to say though, that favourite of all time, is Albert Lee ! I've been to many of his concerts when he come to the UK ! A humble man with enormous talent.
Amazing that so many people like Vince's singing but don't know he was the most sought after session guitarist before his solo career. And it's obvious that he respects the legends--Albert Lee, Eric Clapton, James Burton, Brian May, etc.
I’ve known of him for some time and went and saw him in early 90s. We were blown away the last 30 minutes. I knew he was good but not that good. That boy can play that guitar.
@Alias Jim Wirth Guilty as charged sir! I was fortunate enough to be in attendance. It was a spectacular day with too many highlights to mention, this being one of them. Had the good fortune of being in Dallas last year as well. I am sending good wishes your way that you will be able to attend in 2022! Stay healthy :-)
vince gill is the GOAT..he is worth listening to no matter the genre..as he plays them all perfectly....maybe my funeral song will be Vince...he shows up and kills every ones as..so get over it.... this guy is the best..what band for the show! ever....
When I first began in radio back in 1987, I had never heard of Vince Gill...very soon after he would become one of my all time favorite singer/songwriter/guitar players. Thank you for this!!
The "mad scientist" Albert Lee, note perfect and flowing. The more I watch him playing with the likes of Gill, Knopfler, Clapton, Moore, etc, the more I realise how talented and humble he was.
WOW... Mr. James Burton and his flaming Telecaster... That man has been an inspiration to me and my guitar since about 1960 or so. Ole' Vince ain't no slouch on his "GIT~FIDDLE" either. Albert Lee is a good one also!!!
I guess every guitar player on this planet should listen carefully to Vince Gill. His choice of tone, notes, his fluidity and phrasing are just amazing and pure inspiration for any musician
So true, Vince Gill less well-known than many but is right up there with the very best, I only discovered Vince from watching Crossroads videos 3 years ago, he is now one of my favourites and I cant get enough of his music or interviews, such a lovely humble gentleman too, always very gracious to his fellow performers.
I'm not a country music guy....but their performances always demand more vibe, talent and reservedness than comparable genres. No one is going over the top but they all require over the top talent to make the song work fluently. I just wish I liked country music more.
some day, you'll " come out " and admit it !! _ It happened to me ! I was Rock and roll all the way, but some of the best musicians turn up on the Country scene !
I was lucky enough to catch a show a couple of years ago by Albert Lee and his band Hogan's Heroes. Apart from his exceptional guitar playing Albert is such a nice unassuming guy.
@@Zoetropeification ?? Inquiring minds need to know or did the whole thing get called off? I was supposed to see Kingfish Ingram but it got postponed and then cancelled.
Yes met James Burton and the rest of the team and he gave me his guitar pick signed after we supported the original Tcb band at the corn exchange function hall Edinburgh Scotland 🏴 Sunday 10th October 2004 remember it well whist playing slap bass in our band high voltage my that was a hard 8yrs of constant gigging up down the country whilst holding down my real job as a fuel delivery tanker driver .lol Vince Gill great artist and the incredible Albert Lee 👍👏👏👏👏👏👏🏴🇺🇸🥃
James Burton's solo on Ricky Nelson's "s Hello Mary Lou marked a turning point in rock guitar playing. Introduction of slip notes. I would love to get "stuck" with James, Vince and Albert.
Much like another favorite of mine Robben Ford the minute those note's start flying I know who it is Albert has incredible sound and technique ,much respect for JB as well.
played a gig with Keb Mo once...corporate event in a parking lot in Century City...top dude but you gotta assume he was terrified here..."OK, James Burton soloed, Vince Gill soloed, Albert Lee soloed...FELLAS, PLEASE DON'T MAKE ME GO NEXT"
