Crosstrek Drag Race 1/4 Mile Runs 

I couldn't find any online videos of a Subaru Crosstrek 1/4 mile drag race performance. Thus, I had to check it out for myself and do a video on it.
DISCLAMER: these test runs are for this specific car, under that day's specific conditions, and does not reflect the performance of any other Subaru Crosstrek.
THE TRACK: a NHRA 1/4 mile drag strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway called "The Strip". The event; MIDNIGHT MAYHEM from 5 PM to Midnight in June 2019.
THE CAR & DRIVER: 2017 Subaru Crosstrek Limited, all stock, no modification, no tuning and a full tank of gas. Driver is not a experienced Drag racer. And, to avoid any fails, I reviewed the Drag Race format and procedure at this track for this event.
THE RUN TIMES: were about the same. Reaction time was consistent. That click sound you hear in the video as the light turns yellow, and green is my foot sliding off the brake and putting the pedal to the metal. Their is a noticeable lag when the throttle is floored. Almost one full second before the car reacts.
There are things I could have did to prep the car better for the track. Like less weight for fuel, remove spare tire and air filter, and get a tune with those computer devices. And, wash the huge amount of dead bugs off the front, and give it a good wax and polish for more aerodynamics.
Nevertheless, the goal was to see how the Crosstrek does at the race track. To it's credit, it wasn't the slowest car racing that night. The experience was a lot of fun to drive down a NHRA 1/4 mile drag strip. But awkward to be racing against 12 to 15 second muscle cars. Perhaps the slow performance is why there are no Crosstrek Drag race videos online.
