This is a perfect opportunity for me to explain about a bird's taste buds. Many birds only have less than 500 taste buds, as opposed to 10,000 for a human! There are two taste receptors that bird's lack. The first is the "spicy" receptor. A classic example is a parrot eating a chili pepper. It won't ever notice the taste or give any sort of looks with its eyes to know that has any intense flavor! Crows are obviously the same way. Now, the 2nd taste receptor that birds lack is the "sour" receptor. That's actually a good thing! Try eating roadkill that's been sitting for a few days! Its flat out impossible, unless you are well-prepared for a major stomach ache! Now, a crow or a vulture would have no problem doing that! They don't look at the food item to examine how long its been there! They just eat it and that's it! Did you know that a Common Raven only has 16 taste buds? Yep, and crows are no different! That's why they can eat anything and everything. I'll have to take a look at your channel for other food items you are feeding your crows.
