Animals have figured out that humans will generally help them if they're injured or in danger. It's like they can tell we are suckers for their cuteness.
We live on the edge of a canyon in San Diego. About 10 years ago, we had a crow with deformed wings. It would walk around and try to fly, but it could not. Its mother would stay near it and fly up in the trees to get it to fly up, but it could never get off the ground. It stayed around here for about one week, then it was gone. A dog or a cat probably got it. About five years ago, I went out to water the lawn. The crows immediately started to squawk, then they would fly near my head and then swoop down into the canyon. After a few minutes, I went to the edge of the canyon to see what the problem was. I thought that they might have trapped a hawk or an owl. When I looked down into the canyon, I saw a mountain loin about fifty feet down the edge. He saw me and got up an just trotted off like I was bothering him. I turned off the water, went back into the house and felt glad he was not hungry. The crows were trying to warn me that the mountain loin was there, I am sure of that.
I had a magpie with a broken wing living in my garden. Its wing had been run over by a car but it healed and although it couldn't fly it could climb trees and lived for about 3 months before dying from eating some kind of poison. In that time with no ability to fly it had courted another magpie successfully and would probablky have gone on to breed. The corvids are astonishingly resilient and resourceful.
Jack J There is a higher archive. If you treat your dog like family, then you treat your family like a dog.. Try to save a stranger from drowning before saving your dog.
When my dad was a boy in 1920s, he found a baby jackdaw, reared it in the barn, it always stayed around the farm, it would come when called, he could hold it as it became quite tame, and could say a few words dad taught it.....
what should bbc do? send film crews in the wild and rescue all the animals who are being hunted/attacked? carnivores need to eat too. this video is a bit different, that cat is a house pet who has owners to feed him, he dont need to being attacking that raven.
J at least the BBC are showing and telling the truth in these nature programs. That's about the only truth they report. Everything else is propaganda and lies.
LOL well they have a huge block of people who hate them thats for sure. Both liberal and conservative. I guess you can't please everyone when half of your programming is propaganda.
StuBoy270 I just watched your video for the first time and I want to thank you for helping that crow. He was walking around and it seemed like his wing or leg may have been injured recently. Poor Baby! So thank you again it's great to see that the crow is okay. :-D
Neponset River !I know ! so sad the world oviously is full of rude, mean, angry bullies ! All over you tube, even the mohst inosent videoes or comments people just lash out! Has people changed or does peoples true colours come out when they aren t facing anyone...? 📱😔😟
Neponset River spot on! After scrolling down through some of these comments, I am baffled as to how ignorant some people are. This gentleman was so humane and kind towards this poor, weakly bird. I wish there were more people like him in the world. P.S Can the uploaded please tell us the outcome???
Ron Haugen It is octopuses. The origin of the word, either greek or latin determines it. In this case octopi for plural is incorrect. As is the plural of hippopotamus.
Robyn Jones Hey everyone, Robyn needs some attention. Be sure to tell her what a good girl she's been, and how amazing she is at spelling! No - forget the crow - all eyes on the fricking amazing Robyn!!
That is so cool! So many of these animals are mistreated, and it's sad. At least this crow has a human loving buddy he can depend on. What a wonderful relationship. Blessings.
Please take him in to have his wing set. My dad fixed a crow that hit a power line and broke his wing. My dad loved all animals. The crow was able to fly, my dad did a great job of setting his wing.
Growing up on the farm the crow was our brightest visitor. Next would be the pig that was like a huge dog & followed granddad like a pet. Feral cats don't count & the dogs except for one that protected my younger sister were decidedly dull . Huggs, silky
New female friend comes to his house: "you have a crow how cute" him:"yes i saved it from a cat he had a broken wing and hasnt left my side since" *ovaries explode on the spot* "let me get your zipper for you"
Awwwwwww ! ! ! I love crows ... they hang out with me ( or at least they seem to ) on my property, like in the woods. They will come flying in like a big, noisy group and land right over top of me. It's kind of intimidating but I always talk to them a lot. They follow my husband around too and definitely talk to him. He's pretty sure one of them called him an s.o.b. LOLOLOL ! ( Ya, I'm pretty sure that crow was warning him he better be nice to *_me_* ) I hope your crow turned out OK. G_d bless you ! ! ! ~👯
incredible video, thanks. Crows aren't evil animals theyre thought to be - THey are very smart, and just want to live in peace like the rest of us animals.
Bless its heart. That wing must be broken. You should take him to a rehabilitation center to see if they can do anything for him. If he couldn't be released at least you know he'd have a good life.
RumbleOfDrums, I know a veterinarian in Hawaii that's always happy to do it for free. He always treats the feral cats. The UK law you're talking about is a great one!
it might be the same in Australia (wild animals treated for free) the local vet fixed a pidgeons broken wing that i took to him. i had to feed it for 6 weeks though.
This is known to be a very intelligent animal. It's good to see it helped here but it now needs a vet or a wildlife museum to see what can be done for its broken wing. Perhaps it will be kept as a pet if the wing can't be mended?
NORTH Line no, but I remember joining some kind of group that play games like that by mistake. Not only do I not know how I joined, but I also can't figure how to undo my.mistake. I too love all animals.... they're quite a comfort in today's world, so full of cruelty, right? They ask for nothing but that we love them. I'm flattered by your post, thanks! Did u see the video of the small dog playing with a crow outside, almost as if they're of the same species? 🌝
There is nature and its cycle of life and death. A door we must all pass through one day but's there's all so love and caring for all things living and the love in their eyes when you give a helping hand and ask or expect nothing from them We see in all the time thanks to the age of computers from a lion or big cat that befriends a dog or other animal that in the wild he would or may have killed to live and it's so nice to see things like this. There was the Eagle that had lost one of its wings from being shot the fish & wildlife- the officer would take him all around the schools when out of the blue the close call of a dog chase his owner off the cliffs while hang gliding gave birth to an idea and yes the dog was ok It gave the dog's owner an ideal which in part gave the wildlife officer an ideal as well for he was in the sport of hang gliding as well He made a harness that would hold the Eagle in place and keep him safe at the same time Taking him as he went flying and after years with this great bird, he said how after the first flight with him the Eagle had a look in his eyes or look at him like he had never seen before. For the Eagle new he would never fly or fill the wing over his face as he once did when he took to the skies as free as one can be riding the wind and he had a new life and friendship and was able to fly as he once did. Yes, there will always be death in our path as we walk each day but it's just so nice or kind to help those that need it. Who knows someday it could be you that can not fly or walk and save from death's door. I once found a small dog that had been hit and took her to the vet, no one claimed her so Lucky found a home with me and raise more that one baby kitten, It was so funny to watch at times as cats like dogs will fight each other and when she heard them it was all over as mom would be on the spot and with just one or two barks the fight would stop she was quite a little mother And pound for pound any one of those full grown cats could have had her for lunch as they say but to them she was the mom, and they knew it. Just a note to thank on as we should all be so lucky as to have someone pick us up from pure death when out wing is broken
Aw you I found a wild city pigeon with one wing last summer & now pegwing lives in my bedroom I'm lucky my husband is also an animal lover to be honest if he hadn't been when we met it would have been a deal breaker, I just spent 17 quid on a large bag of pigeon food they only eat a teaspoon full a day but I couldn't get a smaller amount, but there's ring neck turtil doves nesting out our back there very rare here in the wild & they already know that I will feed them so it will get used.... Pegs wing was already gone when I found her, and it took weeks of getting to know her to find out she is a she, we're nearly sure.... Now & she has learned to trust us, when I first picked her up she taught I wanted to eat her, our cat was a kitten when we got peg & now there BFF s its gas watching them play ushdi is so gentle with peg, she has killed wild birds but has respect for peg & her one working wing that she can give you a good slap with.. Poor bird dreams of flying so we tied balloons to a fruit bag like a carrier pigeon would have but once up she could only go around in circles.. It was funny...
It looks as though both animals are in a pickle. The cat was more then likely very hungry and despite. The crow has an obvious wing injury. There is a way to help both the wonderful beasties.
hommie789. . if it wasn't for cats imagine how much worse things could be with rats and mice. i know they shouldnt go for birds though and i will always stop a cat from doing any damage to any animal. we bred them to catch as many little animals as possible... but now we dont want them too... its our fault for domesticatimg them to rid the home of rodents.
Or maybe if you have cats you keep them on a leash like a dog. Make people responsible for the actions of a cat. That way their would be far less cat's killing natural animals. I know in my yard I kill every cat that comes into it as they usually go after my parrot so people don't want to look after their cats it pays the consequence for the owners.
I would just like you to know your my hero nameless man 💕💕💕 i love birds I've rescued a few stunned birds and a baby bird that fell out of a nest when I was a kid. that bird will always appreciate you! I have two birds lol one is a rescue one is not how is the crow doing by the way???
*+LifeLikeSage* Pumbaa: SHE'S GONNA EAT ME!! ..We need an edit of this video with that sound. The crow is Pumbaa, the cat is Nala and the Photographer is either Timon or Simba
Never make crows upset, they are intelligent enough to hold a grudge, and smart enough to bring you trinkets it finds in return for acts of kindness. A crow with a grudge could result in them dropping pebbles on your head at random.
@@FatBitches Same shit with Goku who stopped being so naive in z, same shit with Krillin who was always trying to do something even if he was weak in z while in dbs he is for some reason afraid of friezas army even tho he could solo all of them. DBS took a shit on character development from z.
on RU-vid to be entertained and to smile and laugh this makes me cry I don't want to cry I don't want to be sad I want videos that will make me laugh and smile and enjoy there's too much sadness already
Hope he was able to help the little guy. But to capture any small animal including birds it's best to throw a shirt or blanket over it first then scoop it up.
