I want to feel bad for this baby squirrel, but after what I just saw at my birdfeeder box,I'm leaning toward the crow to make it lunch! For a few weeks, I thought I had a Hawk attacking my morning doves. Seemed there were always a lot of feathers just lying on the ground. Finally, I witnessed the culprit. A red squirrel was in the seed 'box' & a dove landed next to it, after a couple seconds - BAM the squirrel jumped onto that dove with its mouth open & claws holding on. It Bit a mouthful of feathers with skin attached right out of it!! 😠
oh the reds and the greys are completely different critters... greys are known to destroy bird feeders (greedy bastards) but otherwise seem mostly even tempered. Reds on the other hand are evil little jerks - I used to see them terrorizing the chipmunks all the time for space in the big wood pile... c'mon you are about the same size... share :D But no.... the reds were evil little things compared to the greys.
@chouseification I agree, I never seen red squirrels before, grew up with only the gray ones, but when I was walking through the park one day I saw two red squirrels yelling and chasing this gray squirrel threateningly. Then when I got closer, one of the red squirrels chittered at me and staring, it acted like I called its mom a whore the way it looked at me for just standing there. Later I learned despite being smaller, red squirrels will beat up and steal food and homes from gray squirrels.
Neat interaction caught on film. I honestly think the crow was just messing with it, they tend to tease other animals just for the hell of it I think. Even things much bigger than themselves.
There is something obviously wrong with the little squirrel. It is likely the crow has been wearing it down for some time. It isn’t trying to get away and has likely already been injured by the crow. The crow likely dropped it while flying with it or perhaps the crow had already found it in this condition but likely the crow is the reason. Or perhaps the squirrel had tried the eat the crows eggs or got too close to the birds nest, that could also be a possibility.
animal protein makes up a large part of a crow's diet. Young birds especially. Knowing the slow painful death that awaited this young squirell this guy stood by so he could make a video to post on RU-vid. Wow.
Next time take the animal to a vet. Usually fall out of their nest or are abandoned by their mother. Rabies may be a cause but it’s less common. Good thing it stood up for itself
@@mimied6058 ah ye the stock city people with the moral highground who appear every time... none of the corvids are predators, the scavenger species (like magpies or crows but not jays or jackdaws or even ravens) who overpopulated urban areas because of human stupidity (breeding pidgeons for centuries and then letting them loose when they went out of fashion, instead of culling even feeding them, who in turn supply eggs and fledglings year round to these) theyre pest that damages actually ecologically useful wildlife...
Unless you plan to take care of the animal including the vet fees and any tickets you might get for having an "exotic animal" Do not pick it up and think you can take it to a vet. Unless you have a wild life rehab center nearby that wants you to bring them in your only options are to leave it (don't touch it. JUST leave it.) Most US states ban owning of exotics and yes local animals are considered exotic. If you choose to do the wrong thing and save the animal. Keep It in mind that it's illegal and you can. Get in trouble
Typically vets don’t treat wildlife unless they are working for the department of wildlife conservation. But the baby squirrel isn’t acting normal and has likely already been injured or dropped by this crow. The fact that a squirrel of this size isn’t trying to get away indicates that it is severely injured or something else is wrong with it.
The amount of ignorant fools in these kind of videos is astonishing! These are WILD ANIMALS, they're not pets, and they're certainly not people, so stop applying human emotions or qualities to them. This is just a wild squirrel about to die and an oportunistic predator taking advantage of the situation.
the rat is obviously failing from something.why didnt you go crack it on the head and feed the poor crow.crows are treated like bad guys when in fact, tree rats kill thousands of nestlings aND STEAL EGGS
Squirrel also eats baby birds and destroy the nest ! I m not saying it’s good but they kill each other to survive! So watching this video is somehow satisfying becz tit fr tat
Its nature, Stepping in and "saving that baby" isn't an option. You let it play its course. However once the crow gives up and leaves, sure help the clearly in distress baby squirrel... if you want too. Cant release it after you take it if its a non native species... keep that in mind.
@@BenGali0 forgot the part about let nature take it's course. If the crow is successful, so be it. But as we got to see in this video; the crow left the kit alive and took off. At that point if you so wish to help, that would be the time to act.
It is an option. Even in nature other species of animals save eachother. A deer is known to run to the rescue of a crying bunny and step on the hawk until it let's go. Humans are nothing more than animals. That being said, why is it not okay to save animals when it happens in nature itself?
One time, I saw 2 crows' pickup something in the park so I ran to the crows and they both got scared and flew away and I saw an injured baby squirrel that got bit by the crows and could not run! The squirrel saw me and cried and begged for help. I gave the squirrel 1 piece of goldfish and stayed there until the squirrel managed to walk back in the tunnel. After that, the crows got traumatized and I think these stupid fu**Ing omnivores deserve it!
@@TheRealNewWhirledOrder Humans are domesticated when compared to wild animals, this sets a significant feature of Humans' lack of involvement in nature
@@TheRealNewWhirledOrder That ain't his pet , so why would him even defend ? That's how nature works and we can't stop every single animal that is getting attacked also carnivores animals would die if they don't eat. Is like if someone tells you you can't eat animals cause they were living beings or plants cause someone crazy said they feel pain what would you eat then ?
At 2:28 it looks like the little squirrel learned how delicate his testicle's are, when he was just laying there, exposed, and the crow bit his nuts. He sprung to life in an instant. When you watch it at the lowest speed, he still looks like he's in full speed! He let's out a SCREAM! That had to hurt!
Porque que vc não pegou o filhote de esquilo 🐿️ e leva-se ele cuidasse dele e depois soltava ele no no mesmo lugar garanto que vc não pegou porque que vc não fez isso
You know there is something called nature. Its crazy. I know right. So your idea is to starve another animal from its meal? Then call this person a pathetic demon souled human? Absolute shame on you. This is what animals do in the wild. Just shame and disappoint on you for saying that about this person. You should apologise to the person who made this video.
People dont help anyone or anything now a days, because god forbid they dont video tape everything to post on social media! Beta camera jockies! I hope when u need help one day ppl just record you!
Waptek2 is the type of dude that a girl offered him sex he would politely decline and say that he is s virgin cause his mommy doesn’t think he should have a girl friend
Anytime I see a Human in distress or danger like this, I am extra diligent to let "nature take its course". When this "cameraperson" stands before the maker to give account; I hope God will let the weight of human sin run its natural course as well. Goddamn humans, one and all.
I hate how people are comparing the squirrel to a human , for gods sake , I'm a furry and even i have never anthropomorphized an animal to this degree , you know how many animals you kill just by existing ? Why don't you go save them by stopping to exist?
“by stopping to exist” Then by that logic you wouldn’t exist as well. Your logic is nonsensical. Sparring them all would be enough to save them. Not by “stopping to exist” lmfao.
That's why I don't follow that logic you idiot and how's your logic any less childish? Only a 12 year old can think that saving all animals is as simple as a yes or no option , even if you're a vegan the carbon footprint that you make in a life time will be hundreds of times more than any other animal on this planet, from the vegetables you eat to the clothes that you wear and the power that keeps the device that you've typed this reply with on, all produce carbon dioxide. If you do a simple Google search you'll see that squirrels are considered a highly invasive species and things like this are necessary to keep them at bay . Rodents reprudude like crazy and usually half of them don't make it to adulthood because they are either not strong enough or because of accidents like these , grow some balls and study some more about the things you wanna argue about with random people on the internet
Why do people assume predators as the only "bad" ones in situations like these, most predators are carnivores and have no choice but to eat meat and survive in their environment, therefore, yes, you *should* let nature take its course
An injured baby squirrel is scared to death by the giant scavenger looming over it, calling for its mother and you stand there and film it??!?! Would you do the same thing if it was a pit bull attacking a helpless injured child?!
@@mimied6058 The Bible's account tells us that animals and humans were never created to eat each others. Both human and animals were created to be vegetarians. After the Great Flood, God told Noah that the animals could serve as food for him. One day soon, we'll go back to living a life where we get along with all animals, and we wont fear them, and they won't fear us or fear each other.
@@TheDarkDresser no i dont think that will happen, humans will probably continue eating animals but right now humans are making salmon, chicken and other meat from plants so MAYBE humans will live a life where we get along with animals
Hey it's pitiful defenseless baby squirrel! Why didn't you help it? We don't want to see the poor thing suffer and being picked and poked to death! We want to see it being helped and saved from being killed by the crow man! Not everybody's heartless and evil like you ya know! 👿 And evil like some other people in this world! 👺 Your suppose to help gods animals and creatures and critters in this world if you can and that's the right thing to do.
