Wow, this live version feels more "raw" than normal. Idk, it has like an aggressive tone to it. They sound as magical as always, but the grudge sound of the guitars, the black and white lighting and just the crowd emotion and "closeness" to the band adds like an extra layer of raw, passion and extreme to it. Freacking love this music man.
If u havent watched this one, then this one is insane! The guys in the front is awesome haha ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uC4374TkNYo.html
To be completely honest, I found the editing of this to be annoying for the first 2 minutes, but the stellar mix with emphasis on the drums, combined with the erratic black and white flashing subtly carried me back to their Epic 2015 NXNE gig in the tiny, low-ceilinged basement bar that is Adelaide House. This video supremely captures the beautiful chaos that is Deafheaven live from a front-row perspective. I can't thank you enough for this.
Because the album version of Irresistible has a bunch of different overdubbed guitar parts that are hard to recreate without multiple guitarists or pedal trickery. They strip it down to the basics for live settings, which is a common practice with a lot of bands.
