I’m glad I listen to Pantera, so I discovered phil, then discovered down, then discovered kirk’s amazing riffage and heard this incredible band. Crowbar is incredible
My will cannot be broken Cause when I rot I crawl back from the dead I am the living proof That you can right what is wrong in your head The weak can always overcome but only if they burn with desire And all the tears a man can cry They will not put out the fire Walk with knowledge wisely You don't have to die Put an end to what poisons you My heart might have been broken That will only fuel what grows in my mind I am the living proof That a soul can burn a thousand times Accept what God has given you And you'll find the answer all around Rise from the ashes And be heard with a deafening sound Walk with knowledge wisely You don't have to die Put an end to what poisons you Walk with knowledge wisely and be free
Lotta Scripture goin' on here! I'm glad to hear this band thrashing away, but bringing, if you will, God into the picture! Either we're slaves to our addictions, or we, with God's help, can get free from them, and live free from them! This kind of Heavy Metal RULES!!!!!!!!!!
Fuckyeah it does kirk is one badass m.fer musically and to his fans I met him when he was playing with down nicest guy ever just like zakk wylde to of the best musicians on earth
Crowbar has essentially saved my life. I wouldn't be where I am today without leading my life to the tune and sheer power that the lyrics of every single Crowbar song ever released, obtains.
This silver back has earned his long ass Gray beard! Him and Phil Anselmo are the O. G's of the New Orleans metal scene. Been knowing these guys for over 25 years. And they are still alive and kicking! Doing what they love!
Crowbar is rare beautiful music, Unmatched in heaviness. Kirk and the gang deserve a LOT more recognition for the effect Crowbar has had over time on the sound of Metal Music today. Metal Forever. \\m// \\m//
The song is incredibly inspirational to me it is literally been the words I've used to get through so many tough times I love crowbar I seen them so many times and Kirk is an awesome dude always willing to chat what a great band what a great man thank you so much crowbar
***** I'm 50 years, and I don't keep up with music the way I used to. But you know 15 or 20 years ago, there was'nt any RU-vid. So if an Album came out and you wanted to know if it was any good, well about the only way back then was to borrow it from a friend Because you couldn't return it if you didn't like it. Times sure have changed I had to listen to "Sever The Wicked ,Hand" from these guys, and it is pretty epic indeed and worth buying.
+rbagel55 it was nice back then I still wish that music was only sold and only live performances on youtube.... It sucks to be in the music industry nowadays..
Windstein is that kind of guy who wears shorts even in freezing weather 02:40 saw them in a small club a couple years ago, phenomenal ! cheers to the beard of doom for continuing to go all out
Kirk is a poet that decided to pick up a guitar. Everything important that should be said Kirk has already put to music and said better than anyone could.
@@benmcavoy8804 Too many people that listen to Metal refuse to acknowledge God...but not Kirk Windstein! He boldly stands for his faith in God, and I'm proud to see it!
Don't get me wrong, the riffs and Kirk always kill it. But I feel like Tommy Buckley is always absolutely on point, he's just fucking grooving. Little fills and accents just give the huge grooves some movement and life. Love it.
Honest story. In 1994. I played football and had a game hours away from my home town. The dudes drinking at the back of the bus were jammin to Pantera cowboys from hell. I walked back, not being friends with any of my teammates. Gave them my crowbar obedience thru suffering on cassette for their ghetto. And they cranked it, loved it. Found a new favorite band above Pantera and damn...still tonight. I jam to this like there's no 2morrow
Kirk is the nicest guy ever, breaks down your barriers of the sludgiest band ever. One of the most thought provoking lyricists ever too, who would of thought.
Usually I find music videos that are just the band playing a little boring, but this one is awesome. The band's energy looks so intense, especially the expressions on Kirk's face. It suits this song perfectly.
for some of us, "the fire" is all that has kept us alive. Our FIRE is this METAL - in our bellies - in our hearts. We live it every Day - Raise the Horns!!
What a killer track! It doesn't get any better than CROWBAR! I'm going to see them live next week and absolutely cannot wait. Been a fan for years but haven't had the chance to see them live until now. Maybe, if I'm lucky, Kirk and the fellas will hang around for a bit after the show. I've heard that they do that at a lot of their shows. I would rank "Symmetry in Black" as probably my second favorite album from these guys, right behind "Broken Glass" and just slightly ahead of "Odd Fellows Rest". Needless to say, you can't go wrong with any of their albums. Rock on!
Pretty good ! Glad to see they haven’t changed much since I seen them back in the beginning, there first National tour, and a few years on, but to get a little heavier, and evil sounding . I always liked these guys !
@@FlatsHatter Candlemass has been around longer than Crowbar by a few years. But I think them sounding similar just has to do with the harmonies and the bands that both Candlemass and Crowbar probably both grew up listening to, members from both bands are pretty close in age. Shit like Judas Priest, Thin Lizzy, and Maiden, all those bands had tons of harmonies. I'm from Louisiana and love Crowbar as much as the next person, but they haven't been around longer than Candlemass.
CROWBAR! None heavier! I fucking love these guys man! I've met Kirk Windstein quite a few times & he's always been a gentleman & has always taken time to stop & actually talk to fans. Great band...great guy!
