As soon as enough people sing together, it doesn't really matter whether the individual can sing. It always sounds good, and even the worst singer gets carried along and can feel proud about him- or herself.
To be totally destroyed by the overwhelming urge of many to retreat from the spontaneous beauty of togetherness into the warm embrace of a quick social media dopamine hit via videos of themselves doing it. And yet here I am satisfying my own dopamine habit - hypocrite much😂
@@bannerlad01 i get what you mean. I did a hike up a mountain once in central america by myself. the URGE to take out my camera and send a video to someone was INSANE. Instead of doing it, tho, I reflected on why I had that urge and why it was so strong. I ended up not sharing that moment with anyone i know. It honestly has always felt more special to me because of that.
The one not dancing? His introverted brain is desperately trying to work out whether he should join in or not. By the time it works it out, it's always too late.
@@Selkie7 and yet here we are, most people still wear masks even tho we don‘t need to. And so many have mysophobia or germophobia or whatever it‘s spelled.
We are just like this in Florida since 2020. Yes, human connection is important. Why are you letting the government stop you from breathing/living/dancing? I am shocked how shell shocked people from up North are and how they brainwashed so many. It's like a different planet.
This reminds of back in the 90's my classmates and I took a trip to London and started singing 'Lean on Me' in the tube. Everybody started singing with us. It was beautiful 🥺
I’d love to see Robyn’s reaction to this. Must be so rewarding and uplifting to see your music being embraced in such a Way. It’s not even knowing the song but being able to recite the lyrics. That’s impact!
Sometimes we can be so ugly that we forget how beautiful we can be❤ i can feel the happiness radiating off of them. So much love in so many colors. Its the little things that matter, have faith in humanity
Honestly speaking it’s stuff like this that makes me feel a little less pessimistic of humanity in general. Just something simple like a bunch of people having fun like this brings a smile to my face
This also happened after Robyn's acl festival performance in 2019. As we were all leaving the park all of us started singing this song for miles. This song puts everyone under a spell or something.
I was here!! So I was taking a train to visit my friend at like 10 at night and I hear rumbling from another platform, after following the sounds as they get louder I walk down to a platform with 200 people singing to Robyn!! Great energy and I always tell this story, now I finally have a visual to back it up!!!
Singing is actually very therapeutic believe it or not. Doesn’t matter if you are good at it or bad. When you sing a song, you’re sending vibrations, or energy, out of your body and when you sing with others, you are sharing those vibrations with everyone participating. Have you ever sang along to your favorite song and gotten chills or an intense happy feeling? That’s the magic of singing! It helps heal you and everyone around you. It truly is remarkable how much energy and positive vibrations we can create through singing together. We need more of this energy in our world especially nowadays.
This actually made me cry. Seeing everyone together singing and having a great time makes me so happy. U can clearly see all the smiles on their faces too, their singing was amazing❤️
(speaking in a narrative voice) ....and for a few mere minutes, the beings experienced the unity as one and the world felt as if it was in complete order.
Love rare moments like this when everyone just drops everything their work, calls, texts, and just have time to have a break from everything and enjoy short but everlasting wholesome moments like this.
This is my favorite video on the entire Internet and I think about it constantly. it's the way our loneliness connects us for me. It's the joy in that connection for me.
Goosebumps…it’s moments like this that make me feel the feelings that inspired me to take my degree in creative writing, to try and move people this same way
Who knew, in the 90's when Robyn got a hit song in Europe playing on Mtv etc, that one day her much later music would be sung in the subway station in US. It just goes to prove, that Robyn is and always have been, a great singer songwriter!
@@travisk6221 if thats what you think - you can literally pull the last 3 years how people reacted to all this stuff having shortages - people shooting fighting and killing over fucking toilet paper - you better wake up if you think someone wont do the same to you - dont get me wrong i want peace amongst everyone but you need to wake up to this cruel world
I love the people that don't even think to pull out their phone and they just dance and sing and enjoy a moment that they'll probably never have again. It costs nothing to dance and sing together yet it's so unbelievably rare...99.9% of the time there's nothing like that energy there; it's people keeping their head down, looking depressed, worrying about whats in their bag and hoping they don't get robbed
I remember being on the school bus in the 80s and Joan Jett’s I love Rock and Roll started playing on someone’s boom box. Everyone sang that whole song at the tops of their lungs. For 3 minutes everyone was united, didn’t care about the normal teen BS in those moments.
From UK, spent 10 days in NYC a few years ago, the highlight for me was the energy of the subways, people dancing, performing, singing, crowds joining in. Amazing city, really hope it hasn't changed too much
Was gonna say, you can tell its New York with the dark old pillars of the subway. Nice to see new Yorkers come together and smile sing and dance like this. xxx
It's so amazing what a mark Robyn has left on the world. I remember being on the subway on my way home from school here in Stockholm like 15 years ago and saw Robyn sitting one row over just chilling and looking out the window, minding her own business on an almost empty train. It made me incredibly happy to see her out in the wild without being pestered by people even though I wanted to say hi to her. She's such a blessing
That is what music is all about. I've been blessed with the opportunity to visit Disneyland Paris this year and the vibe with the music "Un monde qui s'illumine" 30th Anniversary Theme Song was one of the most beautiful things I've seen in my life. Everyone dancing and singing, truly felt like a magic world 🤍
Amazing now to think we were able to once live like this without a second thought. Even now as we worry less about social distancing, we might be willing to take part in somethinglike this, but we would still have that slight fear in the back of our minds.
This is just awesome!!! All differences aside... Humanity connecting as the collective we are through the beautiful gift of music! We are all soldiers making the best of our experience here on this physical earth, moment after moment, it's so important to celebrate eachother and music is my favorite way to do just that! I spent alot of years takeing the subway, so this just put a real genuine smile on my face and my heart!!!
Fantastic yo see so many different people be one of the same . I wish I could have been there to see it . I would have been right in dancing and singing along with them . Love it ❤️
This. It’s pure moments like this that the world needs more of. It’s why I love music, it can’t truly bring joy to peoples lives in an instant. Love everything about this ❤️
