Faith Seah No matter how mad he was in the moment, Crowley knew damn well he was either going back for Aziraphale or not leaving at all. (That said I’m now imagining Crowley trying to stay sane on Alpha Centauri without his angel. He’d probably name a rock Aziraphale and then have arguments with it every day.)

@@aethelflaed6814 honey, he wouldn't have left. that's why even after the argument they had he drove back to aziraphale's bookshop dialling his number repeatedly, that's why he got wasted in that bar and let everyone know he was a demon without caring if he got caught and killed during armageddon, that's why aziraphale knew threatening him with the cold shoulder would be worse than threatening to smite him. for him, death couldn't be worse than life without aziraphale. that's love bro

Faith Seah Joking aside, he certainly would never have left. When he asked Aziraphale for the holy water in the 1800s, he already knew if the day came, he would be rebelling against hell and running for his life. No other reason to ask for it. He already knew he was on his own side, and he believed Aziraphale was on it, too - even after their fight he was clearly stalking him closely enough to know the EXACT perfect moment for his dramatic church rescue. After Aziraphale got him the holy water, well, that sealed it. Whatever his plan had been before, it was now 100% that when the worst came, they would run away together. Even when Aziraphale told him it was over, he knew he wasn’t leaving yet. He still hung around until the last possible moment, then went to get Aziraphale and even APOLOGIZED because this was no time for arguing, it was life or death. (Which, Aziraphale had to know that even best-case-scenario, if he got in touch with God and sorted everything out, Crowley would still be in trouble with Hell, and there’d be nothing he could do. He knew that conversation on the street might be their last, and he wanted the last thing he said to Crowley to be “I forgive you.”) Hastur and Ligur attack, he deals with them and immediately runs back to the bookstore for another dramatic rescue. OMG how it must have killed him to think that after all the other rescues, this is the one that counted (Crowley thought it was an actual death, not just discorporation) and it was the one he was too late for. No wonder he gave up. :( Yeah, Crowley has basically been in love since day one and I have no idea how he would function without Aziraphale.
