I bought two Crown XTi 1002 for subwoofer duty. The subs were 5ohm minimum on each channel. The amps seemed to not deliver below 25Hz.

Love this video but now crown amplifiers are a little bit snow flaky besides the crown xti6002 and up and surprisingly the xls series is solid to but other than that I’ve seen so many amps fail and it’s all because crown products are now being made in China instead of the United States, have 2 crown xls1500 both on bridge mono mode running 2 jbl sr4718x per side and I have to be honest those small things pack suck a big punch, I’ve abused the amp for 8 years now and the thing has never overheated or shut off on me ever big plus for me because it’s light weight, powerful and the power consumption is not much at all!

The CE series were shameful! Amplifiers that self destruct because of elementary mechanical/layout design flaws. What has gone so totally wrong?

As technology advances, other problems arise. Switched power supplies with pfc and class d circuits are excellent combinations, it's a pity that even so....they burn! I don't care about very low levels of thd, Slew reat, imd,... I'm interested in an amplifier that doesn't burn!

Here's the deal with Crown. China is not the issue Harmon international is . They gobbled up some of the top pro manufacturers then decided to make products at a price point for everyone . Crown was never intended to be a product for every one it was for those who were "ready for real".. real power ,real reliability, real high fidelity and yes real pro sound. Crown is not for the hands of the local joe dirt grunge garage band. Stop building for the masses and build for the real pros who care about abd respect their profession and equipment.

new Crown amplifiers are not the best,

"Passed all test"....but no actual performance numbers given. Wonder why? Because even Crown knows that they are sending out misleading information on power output!
