no cal fire doesn't teach everyone else. They all actually learn from themselves and each other and teach each other. USFS, LA County Fire, LA City Fire, Cal Fire, and many others teach them also. @rosales18 if you are referring to the footage that stars at 46 sec they are cal fire and they are from tuu they can take the heat just smart enough the keep them selfs safe while making a aggressive attack on the fire

I can't even begin to stress the need for FFs to use all PPE all the time. To not do so is stupid and careless. I fought fires there for years for the ANF long before the current PPE was availible and it was rough. Firefighters die or are horribly disabled without it. This isn't about how macho you are or about how much you can take. It is about doing your job well and going home safe.

Yea If u have to pull down your shroud your to close to the fire, besides I've dug line and fight fire with no water and dnt need shroud down

interesting i notice at 0.47 that line laying their needs to be moved away from the hot spot because u will loose a line that way. With active fire the road behind the camera needs to be shut down. Hey crew in red quit standing around and get on the line like everyone else i seen better crews work a lot better and knows what to do instead of standing around. Once you arrive on scene jump into action and get a line around the fire your not being paid to stand around and watch the fire burn.
