if you don't understand the meanings behind the songs ; Johnny Ringo: He sells his soul to the Devil to be reborn, but quickly dies again because the Devil tricked him Johnny's Revenge: Basically expressing his hunger for revenge and how he wants to kill the Devil Johnny's Rebellion: He dreams about becoming an angel the night before the rebellion but is awoken to lead his army of angry souls. He overthrows the Devil but he is no longer interested in busting out of hell. He becomes more evil and crazier than the Devil himself and basically takes over his place in hell.

Fun story: Had this song playing on my iPod on the way to pick up my nieces at school once. As I arrived onto the school grounds and began bobbing through the crowds of parents and their young, I had blocked the speaker so that fabled line wouldn't be heard by virgin ears. I thought I had done well... just for me to remove my hand from the speaker so every child and parent in a ten foot radius could hear the words "Don't ever trust a devil bitch!" blasting from my iPod. So many dirty looks... so worth it. (//_^)

CTE is always going to be my favorite metalcore band just because of these first few albums. Still mourning over them going soft and basically denouncing the whole genre 🙃 but you know, what band in this scene doesn't do that sooner or later these days. Seriously though, they brought something really good to the table.
