I have XLI2500 powering my 15" fronts. Had it for about 4 years. Massive power in reserve Sounds great for a pro amp, especially at this price. No audible noise, seem to have a lot of control at high volume, and again, lots of power. My plan is to turn a spare bedroom into an audio room. I am upgrading to mono blocks but am still going to use the Crown to power my surround fronts. Nothing against the Crown, I love the thing, I am just ready to go beyond budget equipment and get some real Hifi gear.
For audio quality, is it better to buy,, like a rythmik or REL, or build a sub or two, with a crown amp? I don’t really care about a ton of output. Also, aren’t crown amps not really built for quality sound? Is there a better brand of sub amp?
Pero el transformador esté tan pequeño que tiene es capar de entregar suficiente coriente en la cajas ? Es que tengo unas cajas bastante grande Sonus Faber Principia 7.No creo que en un amplificador se trata solo de la potencia y de coriente también que entrega la caja .No sé que decir si nuevo en este mundo de los amplificadores.
I thought that as well but apparently those specs are incorrect. I ran it for 4 years with zero issues. For a short period i ran 4 ultimax but not for long because i didnt want to push the limits before I switched to the 2502.
