The Crowners Boy band was established in 2017 March 3rd by Jigme Tandin Wangchuk with three other boys Tashi Yaso Dendup, Tandin Wangchuk and Palden Wangchuk as the first boy band in Bhutan who sings and dance on stage at the same time to entertain their audience.
Their first single album was Choe Ghi Doen Dha with a music video which was appreciated and accepted by all the Bhutanese audience in a short period of time and the boy band got recognized in the Bhutanese Media market as the first boy band in Bhutan. The crowners have received the best male singer viewer’s choice award in 2019 during the world music day from the Reedrup Entertainment competing all the male singers in Bhutan and even received the Young creative leader award in 2019, appreciating the idea of coming up with a band called Crowners Boy Band as the first boy band with a different idea and skills in Bhutanese market.
More over the crowner’s boy band have received royal audience with His Majesty the fifth Druk Gyalpo Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and her majesty the queen Jetsuen Pema wangchuck during the Camp Raven 2018 and during her majesty the queen’s birthday appreciating the new idea as a boy band and for preserving the traditional dress and culture through their songs and music videos.
They were also invited by many schools and collages as guest performers and speaker to share their knowledge and experience in their field and as a Bhutanese artists.
With all the achievements above, the crowners boy band have toured around nine Dzongkhags in Bhutan with a mini concert in every Dzongkhag to meet their fans and to spread their message on Passion and Dreams through which they can inspire and encourage other upcoming youths to do what they love and to never give up on their dreams.
