Croxteth was a nice place to live I grew up there in the fifties and left in 1971. We had a good childhood nice friends and neighbours. I haven't been back since 2010 but there were still nice decent people who lived there. I am proud to say I came from there.
I remember visiting that place when I went to visit a pal in the Mens home victory outreach it was some experience pros on the street in the day time , RIP Rhys you will never be forgotten kid. ❤️

Me, Paul and Kevin King, Tommy McKibben where off to Jersey for a while then off to LA. The best thing to come out of Crocky was Lisa Aldin and Crocky Comp ,oh yea , and Angie Cooke, she was absolutely gorgeous. She worked at the real estate agent in West Derby Village.

Croxteth Hall and Country Park is one of the best places in Crocky, think it dates to the 1500's doesn't it the main building. Will most probably go up there next month when I'm in Liverpool, I like the farm on a nice sunny day 🐂🐃🐄🐏☀😎
Iverpool has some great parks ..very swanky place in Victorian days ..I rember walking through Stanley park and that massive green house thing ..some guys old garden ..sefton park was nice ..

Grew up in Crocky in the 80’s (Garter Close)…. It was a bit like the Wild West, especially in St Swithens & De La Salle, The Gems etc looks like it’s changed for the better
I used to go to St swithens 😄 still there. Has a hub attached to it now for children with Autisim. I hadn't been their for 30yrs until I had brought my little one to the club.

Used to love Crocky Park as a kid, boss place... before me mum n dad moved to Scotland they went to Crocky but the only trouble they saw was lads on bikes in the woods behind

When I used to go to Liverpool games back in 1984-85 there used to be a large concrete blocks of flats, it was definitely Croxteth be cause I remember the sign coming in.
There were five huge tower blocks on storrington avenue,croxteth .. there until around early 90s...they were known locally as "the 5 sisters"...they were 14 storeys high
The thing is Bill. Everywhere looks better in the sun. The other thing is that all areas can be nice places if you have the right people living in them. The gang culture infects them but we refuse to change how we manage our drug situation, thus leaving the gangs in control of them. Great memories of crocky hall with the farm and just fields to run about on as a kid. Walk through to west derby village which used to be a nice place for a bevy...bet its cokeville now.
I lived in 68 septure Road for ten years before I became homeless,,,croxteth was run down,,I watched septure Road towers being blown up,,The other 3 towers were being blown up for newly built homes ,The dog and gun pub was the pup for drugs and weapons if you new the right people,I remember ,,Wayne Rooney family ran a mobile caravan sweetshop,Think it was his nans house,, Wayne would serve me sweets before he became famous,,They sold food and tobacco ,, every now and then duty free items would be sold from the house,,The ice-cream van,,Ten o clock sold cans of beer...I had a great time then till my life was turned upside down,my dad ran off with my girlfriend of ten years that's a story for another day,,well that's my memory of croxteth,,what's your worse or best time of croxteth?
Anfiel is the worse place wouldn’t live there rent free . Just crocky was where it was at and there will always be the dirt who used needle, can’t believe it is still going on. 😅 thought they all learnt that big mistake from the 80s-90s . My uncle took me into the Lobster 30 years ago, I was barely 18, and I was surprised to see a man sat at a table on his own with what must have been tens of thousands of pounds in cash. I asked my uncle what he was doing with all that money and he told me in his broad scouse accent “He’s the bookie”, I’m sure he wasn’t a ‘licensed’ one! I naively asked my uncle “won’t he get robbed” and he said “Nah he’s the bookie!!” Classic. Such memories

got loved friends in crocky , not part of the trouble good family folks , being a leeds lad i felt odd first time going over felt a fish out of water, but my mate andy and family took me in and we were both self employed special effects guys , and have to say no one bothered me ever . and andy savage is a leader of the community for good . proud to call him brother . . find it a decent community , good people on the whole who if you are good they take you in regardless

He was the first to start everything with the stuff, he started out selling grass but quickly moved to the H when he found out how to get his hands on it. When little Jason his son died, both he and his wife Cathy started jumping up and down in the Echo about how they would find out who sold the drugs to their beautiful son and how he would hold them Accountable, he went on about all drug dealers being the scum of the earth and how they should all be killed, while all the time he was pushing both the weed and the H all over the place. Poor Cathy was a decent girl until she got caught up with that rat. That’s were it all began lad, trust me 👍🏼

I hung around with that kid, he was related to another fella who died in a car crash, Jay would rob his pot off him, and we'd get stoned, we were only babies. I remember him always hiding from his arl man, His pops had a Vdub camper, you could hear coming a mile away, if his pops would have just walked around he would have caught Jay every time..I lived it mate, you can trust me👍
My step nan used to live there ..go from a field to visit her ..and I remember it was quite posh area this from a southerner mind back then in 90.,-95:as I came bk home after then ..but used to be really nice area people owned there own houses ..we had shop and post office in Hale wood as well some stories there ..I rember brookside close was near to where there house was

I am certainly no expert on how to solve the Drugs epidemic ... But if ALL Drugs were carefully monitored and made available to addicts then you are cutting off the evil supply from Gangsters. Which in hand will take a lot of guns off the street because their network will have dried up. Amsterdam for instance does not have the same problem as the UK.
