Bought the X9 Pro 2tb from amazon because the sale price was just irresistible. It is still a better option than buying an nvme ssd plus enclosure for the same read/write speed (10 gbps). But the best feature for me is its small compact and minimalist design.

Thanks Adam, i bought it this week and tested on my HP DESKTOP and Copy from Desktop to T9 is 550 MBPS but copying from T9 to Desktop is 650 MBPS. @@adamtalkstech

Samsung is $90 more currently 4tb (sale) What about quality parts? I pay.more for a better quality hardware/parts/board. i need reliability!

I’d say they are even in that regard. If you really want a pro ssd though I would go for the sandisk professional pro g40

Hello. Iam confused now with this mac limitations. I have a macbook pro M1 MAX 14. On the official page is written: Thunderbolt 4 (up to 40Gb/s). Why is it limited to 10Gb/s? In that case the cheaper X9 will perform the same when with this limitation? In shops are also mac editions of the X9. Is the only difference in formatting? Thanks

It is limited to 10Gb/s because thunderbolt 4 on mac won't use the dual lane standard, it just caps out at the USB 3.2 single lane standard of 10Gb/s. Unsure if this is hardware related or a mac os issue. The Mac versions are reformatted APFS. You can do that on the standard version.

My crucial X10 started giving me error messages after 2 weeks and I can't write to it anymore. Maybe I just got a lemon? Never heard of Crucial before this, never will buy another Crucial product after.

Sounds like a lemon to me. The problem I have with SSDs is I get comments like this on every video no matter what brand of ssd I am reviewing. Unfortunately drives of all manufacturers do fail. I mostly use Sandy professional drives for my day-to-day work, but I do continue to use all the drives. I review just to see if they give me any issues in the long-term.

the samsung looks more dirty, but has the advantage to have both cables added in the box . . . I say looks, but not sure, seems it would be more complicated to clean than the crucial . . .
