The x10 would only perform at twice the speed of the x9 if the usb-c port is 3.2 gen 2x2 (20 gbps).

I would think if you format to APFS as your testing on a Mac you would increase speed to get advertised speed or close anyways

I believe the format of the drives may be the limiting factor here. If you used the ExFAT format, I don't think you will go beyond the speeds that you got. But if you format the drives as APFS, you may get the 1050 MB/s reads and maybe 950 MB/s writes. I have a Crucial X9 Pro SSD, with a MacBook Pro (Intel) and tested with AmorphousDiskMark test, and those are the speeds that I got.

the only issue I see , you tested 2 gig on the x9 and 1 gig on the x10 .. In the future try and keep things the same. I know,.. big brain..

As a linux user, I know the pains of software support... And, I hate Windows. But, as long as the drive works, I'll be happy. I just ordered one, it should be better then the 2.5 external HDD that just blew up on me a day ago..

hey, can you maybe help me with this question - does this device work as expected when connected to an android/iphone with password protection on, or does the password protection need to be removed in order to be connected to and files shown on an android/iphone? which phone do you use?
