Ibe Kachukwu, one time minister of state of petroleum resources and a seasoned technocrat, was on his way to get our local refineries alife and working but all of a sudden we saw face-off between him and then md(NNPC). What we saw next was that Kachukwu was dropped as minister of state while the MD continued his job. Till date no journalist has followed up that situation to investigate the why’s. Lack of transparency, incompetence, criminality at all levels must be pinned to peppetrators and punished seriously before NNPC can be productive.

The government needs to do their damn jobs. Enforce serious laws against criminal activities.

Looks like the chaps in charge have forward sold crudeoil,pledged crudeoil against loans and used crudeoil as repayment for so many obligations that they dont have enough for the 4 other refineries not to talk of Dangote Refinery. That a seriki mai sugar did not know of the decadence and excess leverage in the oil Industry beggers belief. Surely he knew he was not going to get local crude...if it comes a bonus.
