I mean a few things about this and StormWorks in general. First, I know I personally struggle to make things 100% realistic. Not knocking on those that do, but there's a part of me that says, "That's awesome and I'm jealous you're (the creators) that talented to do all of that." But another part of me also wonders, "Is it really worth the hassle of repeating this every time I need this?" Like a realistic long start up process is cool and all, but it sucks when it takes nearly 3 minutes and that's the margin of error between failure and success on a mission. Next is I'm wondering if we're going to get more multi-layered missions similar to this and the Light House Delivery. Like it'd be cool to do something like this where it's sail crude to a station, roll it up to a refinery on a train and then fly the finished product to the military base, while your there medivac an injured person or fix up a fighter jet. The updates with the hand items will make things interesting. We need some NPC's controlling certain things in the game. Like a certain islands/rigs, the NPC's could be controlling it and we could have to program a LUA to send a request for fueling or something and so we can make that process happen without us having to jump over board 30 times to get things in place. Or they need to have some semblance of cognizance. I was doing the "Climbing Accident" mission last night and it dawned on me on how dumb it is that I have to fly a helicopter (ideally) in gale force winds and possibly land on a peak edge of a mountain because the climbers, like all NPC's, refuse to interact with anything on their own. If I could let down a harness and bring them up, that'd be realistic, or at least a lot more so than trying to park a Chinook on an artic cliff. The wind turbines and nuclear power plant also need electrical connectors. They're there making electricity. We can technically refuel at oil rigs and other islands. We should be able to recharge directly from large generators like that. Also, that tanker couldn't reach up to the gantry of the oil rig. That's a deal breaker!!!! :P All in all, it's cool you're showcasing these custom missions that revolve around these great creations. These missions are also well planned. Thanks for doing this and bringing them to my attention. I've got to visit the workshop soon.
I get round 'bout 10 fps with this beast spawned in. I suspect it has something to do with my 5 year old i7 4700. Thankfully, I have a new mobo, i5 9600, and a couple of 8 GB sticks of 4400MHz RAM on the way. We'll see if that's enough horsepower to handle some of the larger ships in SW.
Hej, Jersey i have a question when I create a new wold or go in to one of my old wolds the weapons don’t work and I don’t know what to do I want to shoot with my friends, please help! It’s like it’s a setting that’s off
All due respect to camodo gaming (I personally don’t mind his vids and think some are funny) but MrNJersey has thousands of hours no wait prob millions.... and understands the game and puts out well finished tutorials and everything but camodo gets his own island named after him?? I dunno unless I’m missing something I don’t think that’s right
@@MrNJersey oh sorry I didn’t realize. If it was true though It wouldn’t be right. Anyways I absolutely LOVE your videos!! You are one of the most finished and down to earth content creators ever. You never have any dumb clickbait or unnecessary editing. You make the best stormworks videos out there and you got me into the game originally. Keep making awesome videos! Also I have a kinda stupid question: so remember that great tutorial that you made for building a speedboat? It had two engines I think, and long story short I think I followed what you were doing and tried to replicate it in my own game but I must’ve messed something up because it would never get past cranking. I dunno what the problem is but I just wanted to know if that older tutorial applies to the newest version of the game. Thx. And have I mentioned I love your vids? Anyway sorry for the rambling comment but it would be much appreciated if you could help me out just a tad.
A very cool looking ship but the lack of autopilot and autoballasting does have me raising an eyebrow when it comes to it's technical systems, especially making the docking approach I was watching the overshoot thinking about how much better an automated response would be
Nice video, but now I'm reconsidering if I should continue to build my ship. That one is so detailed and beautiful, I guess I will never get to that point. And I'm having problems with my engines, thought one per propeller is enough, no it's not. I'm quite new to Stormworks and searched for tutorial videos, found your channel and learned so much from them already. I love your "Fix your creations" series, that helps alot to prevent some mistakes. Keep up the good work!
+MrNJersey i want to know how people find the actual vessel plans and information to build these amazing creations!! Also i hope the devs include tutorials like kerbal space program
Duvanie Smart some people get pictures online, but there are hardcore creators i know actually been to some naval vessels and they do tend do recover more detailed and professional appearances in terms of the ship and stuff.
@@mrcreebert7829 they removed everything great, you cant even set the world difficulty anymore with features like enabling harder environments or hardcore gameplay. they also rewrote the mission api so there is literally no missions for the game. everythinjg you see on youtube are missions that exist, but you cant use them in the game anymore. I hope they patched it back in since i wrote a very angry review and product refund but i wouldnt think so. The developers seem to not even understand, that you never rewrite an api, you release an other version to not make the old stuff go to waste.
