*Amanda Hanahan* There is also the possibility that it may just be faux fur used for the film. I mean, IMDb Trivia for the 101 Dalmatian 1996 movie states that "Despite her character's passion for fur coats, Glenn Close insisted her character wear fake fur coats." So likely no creature was euthanized for her outfits as far as I could find.
Quite a bit different from the animated film being a Panther Deville. That one was a Bugatti Type 57, the world's first super car and the rarest one in existence (also the Z-Type in Grand Theft Auto). The Deville is pretty rare itself so way Disney was going to wreck it. I guess it's better for Cruella to drive a Panther Deville since I'm sure everything she does is very British so I can't see her driving a French car.
@@MisterX867 very different from her Bugatti Type-57 (GTA's Z-Type) in the animated feature. But that might have cost Disney too much since it's the rarest car in existence. Also she had to seem more British instead of driving a French car. Everyone thinks she has a Rolls Royce, but that's just not the case.
@@MisterX867 Funny thing is that Cruella’s character may have gotten her name after the book’s author (Dodie Smith) bought a Sedanca de Ville (a car) in the late 1930s.
@Eric I forget the french editor of Runway magazine but the woman she met at the gala event whom she secretly despises and is very cordial to when they are face to face. I believe their relationship would be like that
Stands behind Anita sinisterly then as Anita turns round she smiles charmingly like a Spider ready to kill it's prey Glen Close was AWESOME in this film
The gays don't appreciate Glenn Close on this movie as much as they should! I swear they're sleeping on her! Ive been trying to remind everyone how fucking iconic she was in this movie! They just don't know!
Ben Padron Oh trust, we know how iconic she is. Cruella is my absolute favorite villain (even though I love dogs and I hate when the littlest thing hurts them) and Glenn Close is amazing as her.

Those are fake gays, for sure. Genuine gays jus love her, just as much as they love Meryl Streep and have loved and worshipped Betty Davis.
Lately gays just worship Glenn Close and Meryl Streep as their iconic cast as a fabulous gorgeous stylish ladies. Just like gays in their glory golden days who worship Bette Middler, Judy Garland, Liza Minelli, Donna Summer, Cher, Janet Jackson, Kylie Minogue, and Lady Gaga 💐😊💕
prowlandsasuke It’s not that great, and John Hughes has lost his touch by this point. Still, Close was absolutely perfect for the role; practically the only time a Disney character leapt from animation to reality.
No one could ever and I mean come close to being the "HBIC" with just a simple walk in the room. Glenn Close with that style and color, not to mention the mood she has when she walked in on that platform..... EPIC. NO ONE CAN BE BETTER, NO ONE!!!!!!!!
Cruella walks on the catwalk like she s in a fashion show. She got a sense of fashion and is chic even though she kidnaps dalmatians and tries to kill them for their fur.
Glenn Close as Cruella De Vil is absolute perfection, she took the essence of the original and made the character her own, and it was the best thing ever, because OG Cruella was just horrible and you didn't want to look at her, this version is still horrible but you want to see what she does next.
I would never harm an animal but by God I'm jealous how amazing Cruella looks and the way she struts into the office with each step matched to that music!
I mean yeah, they do it purposefully. Look at Rita Repulsa or Maleficent now, they're smoking hot. I guess it somehow supposed to solidify something much more deeper when they hit their downfall. Cruella's was getting dragged through the literal mud.
Of all the real-life remakes of Disney animated films, 101 Dalmations is, without a doubt, the best one. They casted the characters perfectly, the scenes, both the ones from the animated movie and the original ones, are just spot on and that entrance... I have no words! I mean, I love all the real-life remakes Disney is doing now, but they should done something like this, faithful to the story and yet with a special touch that makes then even better.
I'm sorry but no Emma Stone performance can beat Glenn's performance in this film. She's one of the most intimidating & arch film villains of all time!
Yeah, well... aparently Glenn gave Emma some training to help her peeformance; besides, Emma's Cruella is younger, she doesn't have Glenn's edge, but the intention is that she will have it in a few years
Everyone is talking about the fur coat dragging on the floor, how about the catwalk that was probably installed JUST for Cruella to make an entrance every day?
I remember watching this movie as a child and loving all of her outfits and Cruella was my biggest inspiration to be a fashion designer. Although I took a different career route, I love dressing up for work and she'll always be my fashion icon!
The way Cruella walks out of her sleek white car upon her arrival to work is very much the same as an actress stepping out of a limousine and slowly walking the red carpet at a Hollywood premiere.
It was a common stereotype for wealthy women to drag their furs on the ground, It was pretty much a status symbol, as it gives the impression its value is nothing to you.
0:01 - 0:30 Best scene with Cruella, and this car..... 😍🚗 The only thing better is when in the 2nd part he sees the whole of London in dalmatian, the car is also fantastic with the dalmatian dots....and her sentence: "No more Ella, Ella is dead....Cruella is back" and Alonso's face says it all. .. I love this woman ♥ Glenn Close plays it fantastically
I remember this movie as a kid, and Christmas either that year or the next had Dalmation style faux fur coats for kids in the stores. I remember getting one of those coats for Christmas.
She's a heartless villain, but we all have to admit: she has a strong, unique, "fashionist" style. She herself, is unique too. Plus, a strong personality.
