The theme of this year’s This is Art competition is 'This Is Extraordinary’.
Thank you to all who entered!
The competition is open to young people of all abilities, aged 18 and under, residing on the island of Ireland and is inclusive of all visual art disciplines.
The age categories are:
7 & Under
8-11
12-15
16-18
Group
Winners will be announced during Cruinniu na nÓg on the 11th June 2022. Selected works will be displayed on local authority billboards across the country and on social media.
One artist in each category will receive the This Is Art! Grand Prix Award: a specially commissioned ceramic trophy handmade by ceramicist and visual artist Shane Keeling, presenter of the RTÉ series This Is Art Club!
Selected artists across all categories will receive hand-printed Certificates of Commendation along with a judge’s review of their work.
There will be a prize fund of more than €10,000 to be awarded across the different categories for further education and art-related vouchers.

Cruinniú na nÓg is a day that celebrates and encourages children and young people’s participation in culture and creativity.
It is a day for doing, making and creating, where young people can enjoy a range of fun activities, learn new skills and share ideas.

Cruinniú na nÓg takes place on Saturday June 11th, 2022, and is delivered by Wexford County Council, in association with Creative Ireland.
