A youngman who grew up in the peri-urban location of Kawale, Lawrence Khwisa otherwise known as Lulu, always thought he would be a professional football player. However, his passion for the guitar overtook his passion for the ball. Lulu shot to fame with his song Magwiragwira. He says, among other people, Wendy Harawa is the one who spotted his talent and gave him an opportunity to share a big stage with him. From then on, Lulu has continued to show his brilliance both on stage and in the studio releasing several songs that have become anthems on radio, TV and social gatherings.
As he matures, he has embarked on a project where he will be picking upcoming artists randomly and do a collaboration with them to help them break on to the main market.
