THIS brings back a lot of childhood memories. I'm from Lidingo,at 22.35, the island that's opposite where the ferry docks in Stockholm and my favourite toy was a seal, the boat's mascot that my parents bought for me. And it was the coolest thing ever to go on a cruise with your mates when you turned 18.
This is a really good video about the experience of a cruise onboard one of the best ships in the Baltic Sea. Very well filmed. I especially liked the drone footage =) Keep up the good work!
I was thinking of going on a cruise from Stockholm in the summer with a couple of friends (we are in our early 30s). What ship is most appropiate for us? We are more in for the food and chill rather than casino and dance band music. We are looking at this ship but also Galaxy and Viking Glory.
@@51TGM71 The Silja Galaxy and Viking Glory are more new and modern. You would be having a great experience on both of them. The only downside with both of them is that the cruise is only 23 hours. So you only have one night and one day on board since Turku is so much closer to Stockholm than Helsinki is. If you take a cruise to Helsinki you will have 2 nights onboard and almost a full day to wander around in Helsinki. The ship itself is up to taste. I love Symphony and Serenade because I have such fond memories of them. You might not like them at all.. or you might love them. (Symphony and Serenade are sister-ships and almost identical). The question is how long you would like the cruise to be and if you want to enjoy Helsinki. The cruises to Turku gives you an opportunity to go on land yes, but it's only for 45 minutes or so. Otherwise both Silja and Viking Line have good food and you can have a good chill time on any of them.
Great video. Have been on this ship many times, it is The best cruise ship with permanent traffic in the Baltic sea. Serenade is sister ship but I think Symphony is much better.
Was surprised that you could use your drone so much - in both countries! Too much time spent on shopping and the tax-free store - while on the ship! Wasn’t there more entertainment? I think I would prefer a cabin over the Promenade deck but UP aways. So this was a round trip voyage??
I have been on this specific cruise 25 times. HEL-STOC cruise is mostly meant for Finnish or Swedish people to buy tax- free things, so that is also the main focus of my video. As for the cabin, cabins on higher floors are up to 3-5 times more expensive. The cruise is a roundtrip. You can visit Stockholm for only 8 hours of the two-day trip. On both evenings, there is a one-hour-long show program.
@@AVTravelGuide thought that you could go one way, too. Tourists seem to fly home or elsewhere from either terminating cities - I was told. This trip is on my bucket list if I get back to Europe. Thanks for producing this video!
