1 am for kids is ridiculous. My kids could not stay out past 11 pm at 17 much less a younger kid. What's wrong with parents today? Thats just piss poor parenting.
I agree. On our last cruise I witnessed a father telling his 3 screaming heathens not to bother them on this cruise. He's like..."the ship is huge and I don't want you bothering us the entire time. It's mommy and daddy time". Go bother someone else..... Not all but some parents are hilarious. If you don't want to be around your OWN child what makes you think we do. I'm not paying money to babysit your child. If the cruise lines ended the kids cruise for free BS then this wouldn't be a problem. And it's NOT the children's fault
I personally avoid Royal Caribbean because of all of the attractions that they have to have all of those kids on those ships princess and celebrity have been pretty good as far as children are concerned we’ve not had too many of them on ours thank God
I think smaller ships are going to be more popular, these city sized ships are getting out of hand. The free drink relaxing isn't that big of a deal, the 1 AM curfew is too late, it needs to be 11 PM unless they are with their parents or some other cruise sponsored activity. Cruise ship passengers that get mistreated by port residents need to find an alternative and let the economic fallout take care of the others. I have been on 7 Carnival Cruises and they have ALWAYS opened the 12 pack and verified the contents.
We would prefer A- WORKING Wifi and unlimited. We just ended a 9 day cruise with a billion unruly and unmanaged kids. We found 3 teen boys with 1 teen girl in the elevator/stair area in a compromising situation to the point we tried to call guest services (there wasn't a security number)
A- Wifi We prefer to venture out on our own & wander the cities/towns rather than be locked into a several hours excursion with little to no time to explore when the excursion is done.
That is not really much of a cruise hack. Carnival has been opening up the 12 packs of soda for years. At least since 2016. They inspect each can, place them back in the carton and tape it up.
We have cruised exclusively with Carnival for 15 years. We take two twelve packs every cruise and have never had anyone open one. However, I am sure that will be changing now.
We have been 6 times, and since most of them involve snorkeling, scuba, or some other activity that means swimming in the ocean, we aren't planning any excursions on our cruise the fall. Walking around the port area is just as much fun for us, and we don't have to be concerned with getting back on time or the aggressive behavior we have experienced on some of the excursions we have been on.
I absolutely loved Skagway - I’ve only been on 3 cruises but Skagway was my favorite port - celebrated the 4th of July 2023 with the townspeople and they couldn’t have been more welcoming!! ❤️
Social media has really made some people dumb… If you are using a “hack” to do something you know you are not supposed to do, DONT BLAST IT ONLINE!!! 🤦🏻♂️ You are just showing the cruise company what to check for.
Curfew does need to be changed- only allowed with parent. The kids do get unruly and sometimes take breakfast tags or change orders from doors and run down halls, waking folks! Years ago, more security watching them
I don't see how the transatlantic cruises are still pulling into Barcelona since they have proven to be hostile to tourists. This is too bad since my wife and I were thrilled with our time in Barcelona and wanted to go back, but that was multiple years ago and the Spanish were not against tourists then.
@@broccanmacronain457 I couldn’t agree with you more. I have absolutely no desire to go there now and I did I thought about going spending a week or two there then jumping on a cruise and going somewhere else but if they don’t want my money off of a cruise ship, they damn sure aren’t gonna get it on land that’s disgusting. Their behavior is unacceptable in my opinion and we should all stop cruising to Barcelona and any port that treats us that way.
Same for me. My husband and I did quite a few cruises out of Europe about 10 years ago. We embarked from Barcelona quite a few times and had a very positive experience but would not go today if we might get spit on.
Today's shirt: 8.5 I might be in the minority but I like smaller ships. It'll be nice to see a smaller, new ship. B: my phone stays in airplane mode all week.
I’m getting the impression that drinking lots of alcohol is a primary attraction on a cruise ship. I used to enjoy cruising but as a non drinker, I find it a total turn off having to bump into wasted drunks everywhere I go on the ship.
I just committed to my first cruise, and I have to admit that this is my major fear about cruising. It would NOT be fun for me to be surrounded by drunks.
Royal needs to sell off some of the old ships and the new ones are a great idea! The huge ships are a big issue with overcrowded ports! Coco Cay, is now an overcrowded island now!! 1 am is really too late for kids curfew!
The soda can hack could end up with cruisers not being allowed to bring cans onboard. Then we’re even more at the mercy of the ships selling overpriced drinks
Welcome back-looking forward to your report on Mexico! We would definitely rather have the excursions included; like most of the other folks who commented, we do not use Wi-Fi while we are cruising!
A: WiFi; curfew for children should be 11pm; I am all for the smaller ships if Royal Carribean is coming with a new class. I loved their small ships. The Sovereign class was amazing.
@@mariebrooks7341 I agree. Curfew should be 11 pm. Also, children should not be allowed in any space that serves alcohol unless it is a restaurant. I'm really hoping that the new Sovereign class ships will accommodate/integrate the solo cruising experience 😎
Oh my God I just got so excited. My girlfriend’s family is actually from the Philippines. She is visiting all summer right now. And in the future now we know we can all take a cruise there we don’t need our passports to travel with her on the cruise and we can get to see her family and everything. This is so exciting.
Exactly, they should be in their cabit between 11:00 and 11:30 period. I have told a few of them myself to stop running up and down the aisle at those times. Parents are nowhere in site. Kids under 18 shouldn't be out running loose at night .
B. Shore excursion...but I am sure most would choose wi fi..I am on a cruise, I personally like to enjoy everything I can. I do understand that others need to keep in touch with family. Jason I hope you and your family had fun on your family vacation
Adding security is a must, but unlike other venues, ships have to be careful to balance things. Every crew member they make security removes a member from another duty since the crew lives on the ship.. I don't envy the people that have to try to maintain the balance of passenger safety and not get a hit for poor service because they don't have enough people in certain roles.
B - Shore excursion package. I rather take a planned controlled safe excursion by the cruise company rather than going it alone. Plus many people don't know what to do once on the islands. As long as they don't charge ridiculous prices.
I’ll take the WiFi! Probably will be the basic plan but if the upgrade isn’t much it would be more attractive than the shore excursion. You never know what limits are put on what excursions are available. Thanks Jason!
I was on carnival celebration July 7th to the 13th and there was so much kids and teenagers rude and no respect. And I know carnival has a curfew but none abide by them
I have been to Progreso twice and am going again with family next month. I love it there. I plan to stay at least part of the winter there and may move there depending on U. S. Politics.
I am glad I did quite a few cruises in Europe about 10 years ago. I do not want to go to a place like Bacelona and get spit on because I am on a cruise.
B. Shore Excursions. I unplug on my cruises, but I will check in while in port. Shore excursions have almost doubled in price, so it would be a great perk.
B. I don't want or need WiFi on my cruises. I do purchase shore excursions. Having included shore excursions would be wonderful if they were more than a beach visit or a stay on the bus tour.
@TheTravelScouts I was supposed to leave on the NCL Jade tomorrow but got an email telling me it's been delayed till Sunday, and they shortened the cruise for a day, canceled a port, changed a port. This is the second itinerary change since i booked. Im done with NCL
