Is it harder to do slides with a new board bec I've been trying and can't seem to get it, also can I do ganster arms in same direction that I am kicking it seems easier then opposite way?
@@animalfinatic9366 im 25 and I just landed my first ollie rolling on concrete. I also just dropped in on a 2ft vert in the same month. there 100% is hope!
I’ve been practicing frontside and backside powerslides for about 2 years and it’s very difficult, now I’m getting better but I would like to do it like these guy or Vera My respects guys, I love the LY community, thanks for improving everyone of us Greetings from Oaxaca Mexico
This is your best presenter ever. This guy exaggerates all his movements to make it easy to see and explains it really well. Alex Hannigan is super cool too but I think this video is actually more useful than your "learn to slide your longboard" video.
Totally agree. In fact, he makes it seem easier than it really is. I’ve just acquired a dinghy emboss because of this video. But I don’t want to use it to avoid discovering that I’m not able to get even close to his tricks 😅. The video realization and production is quite good as well.
Great video, I have a Dinghy but couldn't do any of the tricks. And now I know the secret to all of them is saying WOOOW while doing it and then it just works!
I must say Alex has got it down with showing off boards and being hilarious but Reese is a godly teacher. He’s got the vocab fucking down for simple but still detailed enough
@@frankblais2627 i am also 6 ft With 10 as a size of shoe was abt to get a 36 dropthrough when my local shop told me its too small for you you wont get much of a longboard experience and tbh i now need a portable board more than ever you would recommend the dinghy shape 9 for a big guy
I was trying to slide on my Dinghy and I kept doing it at a stand still to see the feel and it it wouldn't budge. I tried slightly up hill with a bit of speed and it actually moved that it shocked me so I jumped off! 😂
I have a drop deck longboard, a popsicle board and a dinghy and I would 100% pick the dinghy if I could only have 1. I took it out the first night and learned to healside/toeside powerslide to manage speed. Took me like a week to learn how to on my longboard. Out of all 3 boards the dinghy is also the easiest to slide/recover. Best skateboard I've ever had, hands down, it's incredibly fun.
I bought a pre built dingy blunt. I hated the board but I switched the trucks to some Indys and out on some 53mm 90a wheels. I’m riding this board constantly now. Shuv it’s are so easy and I’ve got more board to land on. I was using an 8in board. Board is very poppy to.
The Dinghy in this video is 28.5" but we have a large range of sizes for our cruiser boards. Some other sizes include: 29.6", 31", 32", 35.5", 40" Then we get into longboards Check them out - landyachtz.com/cat/all/skate/boards/cruisers/?products_per_page=100
this guy is really really good!! i went out yesterday after watching this video and i follwed the form his and i was able to slide better. im a beginner by the way and using traditional skateboard with 86a duro.
How fast do I have to go to practice slides? Since I've never done it if I have to practice at speed I feel like ill just be throwing myself at concrete for a day. Can you practice it at slower paces?
i did my first slides today. u don't need to go very fast u j need to know what to do with ur feet. what helped me the most is realizing u don't want to push down with ur heel but u want to push out. i could be totally wrong but that's what worked for me
