I love your videos - you are providing us "stuck at homes" with road trips and a way to see the country. Keep them coming please! And you have a soothing calming voice. lol...
Thank you for keeping on trucking sir, you are apart of this country's backbone, i run a ranch so i was deemed essential and am still working my but off saving baby calves and making sure we have hay and corn and wheat growing for the dairys to feed there cattle. Much respect to you mountain mike, stay safe and be well sir!
Audie Peterson Thanks to both MMM and you Audie for doing your jobs. Neither job has been given much respect for a good part of a generation and now suddenly society has found out it cannot get along without you.....
If you ever stop truck driving--you sure would make a mighty fine preacher man! We all delight in listening to your down to earth thoughts & common sense. You've been blessed with the GIFT.!
Used to be a railroad line along this 101 mile route. I hopped a freight from Twin Falls, ID to Wells, NV in August 1965 on my way home from a 6 month tour of Europe. Had to ride the whole way between 2 boxcars as no other open or flat cars were on this freight train. It snowed, rained and I was glad to get to Wells and the main east-west line.
Actually, it is great to see fewer vehicles on the road!!! America is a great country...the situation shows we would be better off with fewer people....esp all them that are here without legal basis....fewer is better!!!
Hey Mountain Mike! Thank you for keeping the USA stocked with supplies during these uncertain times, we the citizens sure appreciate! Happy Easter to you and your family sir!
Thank you for taking us with you on your trips, My Dad was a Marine, we travelled East coast to west coast when I was young, I love the mountain ranges and the weather, and the different seasons. We live in such a beautiful Country, I enjoy the topics you choose to talk about. Be safe 🌹
Wells exists because it is along the Transcontinental Railroad. It is also the location of the source of the Humboldt River, a bunch of artesian wells, thus the name Wells. My great aunt owned the Shell Crest Motel in Wells back before the interstate was built. It was a nice motel back then. We made two trips from Nashville TN to visit when I was a kid. Epic journeys for me and great memories. The Humboldt River runs out into the Great Basin and dries up.
Got this from a driver friend: As states have closed truck stops and rest areas to curb the number of people on the road, getting a quick bite to eat has gotten harder. How are you doing in that department? Stay safe and well. At least the traffic isn't as bad so there is a blessing! You know Congress is not going to give itself term limits even if they should be in place and are badly needed.
Kathy Wolf As a non American I find the whole political situation in America open to corruption for the simple fact if ur standing for the senate, congress or even the presidency u need financial backers to fund you. Now let’s be honest no big business are going to fund nobody who plans on working against them are they? Where as over here in the UK u don’t fund the individual you fund a particular political party you don’t even know what candidate is standing in a particular area most of the time till the election is underway. That cuts down on corruption a lot but saying that we are talking about politicians an no matter what party u support u know they’ll always find a way to make a dollar out of the workin stiff always av always will Oh stay safe stay in this virus thing as no sense of humour
@@mikeymc3094 Have friends from many cultures. The whole world is in a huge mess and from what is observable most of the political/elite arena are corrupt and insane irrespective of country. You stay safe too. No the virus has no sense of humor.
Hello Mike: Joe here in Palmdale, CA. Watching you cruise north towards Jackpot. It's a restful watch. Keep on trucking Brother. You are taking care of us all. Thank you so much.
Keep them goods moving Mike! You and your brothers and sisters in trucking and supply chain are getting the job done. I believe this will be remembered as transportation's finest hour. God Bless!
Thanks for the quiet time on the road. It meant a lot to me during these heavy days, a break just to sit back and wonder about the Lord and his mercies.
Mike you're a Rock Star!! Loved this vid because of the smooth road, the peacefulness, the crick, altho you didn't fish, and your statements about the future, however it plays out for you! I pray that you can stick around and help the country recover!! Peace and be safe!!💖🇺🇸🚛😊
Howdy Mountain Man Trucker Mike. Would you ever believe we would have this virus thing happen. It as if we were in a Twilight Zone movie. Stay healthy and safe.
I always wanted to travel on this type of roads, wide open beautiful scenery, snowy mountains in the back. So relaxing. Good work mate and stay safe. Love from Pakistan 🇵🇰
Drop dead gorgeous scenery! This is so appreciated right now. My hubby and I were supposed to be on a road trip across country right now... Riding with you will do for now! Thank you.
We run this route every year. Great road. You mentioned seeing a lot of police. Well, I ran US93 1 week before you, and the road was closed between Ely and Wells. A State Trooper was murdered by some lowlife, and the SWAT team was out looking for him. Perhaps these were police coming for a service. We ask a great deal from our Police services, but no family should have to endure such a loss. I had to make a 300 mile detour thru Salt Lake, but it was minor compared to that loss. Stay safe, everyone, and support everyone who has to be working -- drivers and police alike.
Senyor trokero Mike: I am the lawyer representing my poor clients the maligned bugs, who ju are killing. My clients are NOT suicidal, they are merely the victims of the 25 to 39 square foot area of jure windshield. They are NOT suicidal, they are just VERY unlucky and misfortunate as they are innocently flying happily and carefree in that specific area of our world which happens to coincide with the treacherous windshield de su troque which happens to smash their small fragile bodies. See ju in Court. EL Shistero Rojo!
Thanks for filming these beautiful scenes of the West. It's keeping me sane during the lockdown. I'm in Montreal Canada and we can't travel to other regions within the province without good reason for the time being. Hope you can keep working throughout this pandemic. 👍👍👍
Thank you Mountain Man Mike for another great ride. As to the question of term limits, it would be good if we could vote them out when they come up for re election. But as we have seen, it is the person who has the most money to spend on their reelection. Have a safe trip Mike.
I remember wells nv. Back be4 the flying j and loves . There was a texaco truk stop on the north side of 80 where that burger king is i believe. And Donnas place was out there by that 4 way stop. Probably all gone now. But at Donnas you could shower for free and get a bite to eat at the bar. If you wanted to you could sleep in the parking lot and tell them what time you wanted to wake up. They'd come out with coffee and get you up. Dont find that kind of service anymore i bet. Truck safe bud
P.S. i love all your videos, seen places ive been and a whole lot more i havent and really enjoy you commentary sir. Keep'em up your doing one hell of a job !!
Thanks Mountain Man Mike for another shotgun ride and for stopping to show us the Salmon Falls creek, love the water...Be safe out there on the road...Peace
Always took my road trips in September on my harley for less traffic. rode that highway many times to destination in Nevada and Arizona. stay safe Mike.
G"day mike, Yeah I hear you about gov selling of manufacturing to china, Here in Australia our gov has done the same. Our stupid gov sold of some of our largest dairy farms to china & least of our shipping ports for 99 years,so now they don't have to take all the baby milk powder from supermarkets like they were doing now they just ship it Direct without touching Australia. Plus they sold all our manufacturing as we had our own steel manufacturing now it is all gone. It is happening all over the world, countries that were independent had to help third nation countries now these Countries are 1 st world countries & are all laughing at the Rest. Keep up the good work & stay safe.
@Mark Gleeson ... QUESTION: Which of our Australian Governments over the last 40 years has "sold" private industry to the Chinese...? Your statements are just uninformed misinformation that the far right wing white supremacists push. Private industry and Businesses moved themselves to where they can manufacture the cheapest and meet world demand. The reason why most of us are living the great life we are now, is because goods and services are way cheaper than they would otherwise be if it was not for globalisation. You might hate it, but globalisation is what has given us our standard of living and has pulled probably around a billion people or more out of poverty. Even before WWII there was a level of globalisation going on, that was providing people with a great way of life... WWII put a halt to things for a while. With the end of WWII and wide spread peace for much of the world,. the world looked at trading instead of fighting, and it helped drag so many from subsistence. If you want to turn things back to the way they were before the 1900's, then fine, but be prepared to take a real hit to your way of life. I for one hope globalisation gets through this with a few tweaks because if countries are TRADING, they are not FIGHTING, which benefits the whole world.
Nobody sold anything that wasn’t already for sale. Government’s don’t own anything so how could they sell it. Chinese companies provide affordable goods that improve everybody’s standard of living. The old white bigotry against asians is still alive and well among the ignorant fools. Quit listening to white supremacists and bitter, washed up has-beens. The world has changed, get over it.
@Greg... ( David).. I am not happy about that. I buy Australian made as much as possible. I rather pay extra for quality. I am not racist. You can't be with all the other nationalities living here. I just wish they would live the way Australian people do. Not try and comform us to live the way they want. We can't even celebrate Christmas without offending them. We are still allowed to express our opinion?
I drove from Phoenix to Boise back in 1984. That was the longest, most lonliest stretch of highway I ever drove. And I wasn't drivinig a semi. Your videos is like riding shotgun.
Excellent brother 👍 Privilege to ride with you- comments are spot on common sense-power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely- you have the best office view I've ever seen 😁😁😁😁😁
Loved following your journey on google maps as watching this video. thats some beautiful country there. Anyways.. keep safe out there from this brit in the uk. "Peace"!!!!
Fritos and a big glass of cold milk.....yum!!! Or Lays classic potato chips and 1000 island dressing...OMG!!!! Never stop talking....i love your stories ...very entertaining!!! I could sure handle 30 minutes riding shotgun at least every other day!! Its Easter weekend and i wish you peace, love and family blessings. Dee
I love all the videos you do my friend. I am with you on all the trips. You take. Your friend Carlos Reyes from nampa Idaho.. be careful and be safe out there.
The very minute a politician decides to be a career politician, he/she is immediately in a conflict of interest. Virtually every action they take, every thing they say, every position they take, every vote they cast on a piece of legislation has to be done with a view toward how it weighs on reelection. In other words, everything they do is self serving, and the good of the people and the good of the nation slides far down the priority list.
The minute a politician decides to run for reelection, he/she is wanting his/her career as a politician to continue. He/she becomes a career politician as he/she wants the career as a politician to continue. Don't vote for Trump.
Seriously, though, I do agree that politicians have skewed the system toward making reelection too easy for incumbents. Too many times, too, voters tend to become lazy and vote for incumbents mainly because they recognize the name. That helps explain how even candidates who have died prior to election day have won reelection.
Hello Mike ,that was a nice quiet run up R 93 .I hope all your family is getting thru the kung flu virus ok .I have nott been out of the yard here in Oohio for 10 days .Take care . Peace .
#88 Good morning, Mike. I enjoyed the ride. The US Highway System is the best in the World and I want to see it kept that way. The Infrastructure needs constant maintenance (I don't like Yellow Barrels). Also! There is Money to be had in as a Congressmen, when money secretly given to ya! That is Why so many people choose that over a honest career in Truck Hauling.
This was relaxing. The view of the mountains from the distance with the clouds circling it was very nice. You didn't say if you caught a fish. I figure you didn't. It seems like you may have been in the vicinity of the big 6.5 earthquake in Boise. If you were did you feel it? I always go to "Myshake" app to record "Did you feel it". I do this for little ones, big ones and even ones I didn't feel if it was near me. I figure I am contributing to research. I did feel the one not long ago near Lake Tahoe. I have to update you on "The Virus" in my area. My husband gets out most days running errands and even went fishing with our former neighbor/friend. They didn't catch anything either. The lake was packed. I know people aren't social distancing. Today I learned my sister in FL is sewing masks for her daughter's boyfriend who is an RN at a nearby hospital. She is making them for however many she can make at a given time. We also learned my husband's sister in Westminster, CA is making some to for her daughter-in-law as she is almost an RN. She told us she will mail us up 2. I told her how the day prior we went running errands, I was wearing my grandson's old Boy Scout bandana and my husband had nothing. We will see if he wears her masks since she is making it special for us. Tomorrow is Friday....be safe.....Q.....things happen on Fridays.
@@ironrail5294 I heard my great (not) Govenor, Gavin Newsom, was trying to stop ALL fishing in CA. They take the jobs away, so people don't have money for food, now he tries this. What do these New World Order folks want to do starve us? That is rhetorical....I know the answer.
One of the largest ranches wine cup is a 93. It’s like the size of Rhode Island. Jimmy Steward used to own it back in the 50s. It’s Owned by a guy named fireman that also owns Reebok. He’s selling it for about 77 million.
You're driving by my neck of the woods. If you're headed to Nampa take Hwy 30 by the Snake River and Thousand Springs. when you go through Hagerman wave that's where I'm livin ;-)
Traveler Who’s NHP Jenkins heard nothing about that over here. Liverpool UK 🇬🇧 Hold on hold on NHP that would stand for Nevada Highway Patrol right? One f ur cops been murdered .
