+CarlsCustomCreations People aren't giving a thumbs down because they don't like the car, it's mostly because MCM has aligned themselves with Phil and Edward Lee, one of Australia's most notorious car dealers for winding back odometers on imports.
+MrJustapersn I don't believe 75% of these kids are smart enough to pick something like that up yet. 99% of them haven't even gotten over being attracted to obscene vehicles yet.
I love the car reviews that these guys do! It's just pure honesty + Sheryl + Tofu. A lot of other car channels could learn a thing or two from these guys. Question for Marty & Moog: What's the fuel consumption like and how big is the tank?
saw one of these in FINLAND and I was proud to be able to tell my friends "that is a Nissan Figaro" without MCM I would have never known about this car
i have a black 1963 lincoln continental with the most beautiful white/light blue interior with the best chrome anywhere. it feels like your driving the classiest car in the world when you go cruising!
Moog's f**kin' obsessed with blinkin tofu =P Lovely little car, cool about the paint going with seasons, I don't think anyone else does that. Can't wait for the race.
The interior looks like a really nice place to be. The dashboard looks like something out of a Bentley. All the chrome really makes it look class. I knew the Turd would beat it, but for cruising around that car is hard to beat... by anything.
Imagine how cool it would be if you guys would do a split screen to allow viewing of the outside and inside of the car. Main screen outside camera and corner screen smaller of you guys talking in the car.
Maybe it's cos I live in Sydney that I watch with interest where you are driving, go old pac for a run one time. MOOG ON HIS OWN: Suburb-Lilyfield. Roads- Dolbroyd Parade on to City West Link and cut-off before he hit Anzac Bridge. MOOG with MARTY: Suburbs: Redfern>Waterloo>Erskineville>Newtown. Picked up Marty on Pitt St, right>Redfern St,Left>Regent St, straight>Botany Rd, right>Henderson Rd, straight>Railway Pde, right>Swanson St (past ersko station), straight>erskineville rd, left>wilson st
Changing the badges on a car doesn't mean its suddenly not a Nissan. Otherwise there would be a lot of Holden drivers claiming that their car is a Chevy (Hmm, actually....) This car IS a Nissan, they just didn't put Nissan badges on it except for a tiny one on the front.
Nissan did put their name on this car if you look very carefully on the figaro badge on the bonnet and on the bottom of the chrome license plate frame on the back
Marty still could have kept the "Blue Turd" , if he made a deal with Moog saying he would keep the Figaro, even though The Figaro lost against The Blue Turd on the track, then Marty could have had 2 maaad nuggety cars and The Blue Turd would have never been crushed!
The whole retro Nissan family from that era (the Figaro, BE-1, Pao, and S-Cargo) is old enough for import to the USA now. I saw all of them in a book I got about concept cars when I was a kid, and thought they were kind of cool. I kind of want to get a Pao or a BE-1... the ones I'm seeing on the trade sites are pretty cheap.
Living on the east coast of the USA I have never seen on in real life. I just moved up to a new town and on my daily drive home THERE IS A FIGARO IN SOMEONES DRIVEWAY!! I might have to start leaving offers in his mailbox lol
I really thought the black backpack in the front seat was a person..but it was a backpack and then Moog came in so there was a person in the seat after all
It explained why it wasn't branded by Nissan at 8:25. But really it still is a Nissan, they just didn't want to label it as Nissan and Moog clearly explained this at 8:25.
It IS a Nissan. They even said that there is the name on the front, but it's just really small. They did that, like Moog said, to preserve the 50's look of the car. So it is, in fact, a Nissan.
Did you watch the vid? Must have missed the part where they were talking about whether or not it's going to be a good race, so no it hasn't lost (yet).
6 foot 5 inch, point is id happily save to buy one of these cars, but i often dont fit in many cars that look cool. if marty is similar to my height im full sold!
i am surprised that there are only 20 in all of australia... once they hit 15 years old there seemed to be pao's, s-cargo's and these figaro's all over the place here in canada. i'm still surprised that you both fit in that car. i'm 6'1" and broad shouldered and i cannot drive a figaro without hanging my right arm out the window because i have nowhere to put it... with the door shut there is literally no space between the seat and the door panel.
I like that car it's definitely something that you don't see everyday. But if I'm not mistaken, the challenge said that Moog had to get Marty a Taxed and Mote's Nissan, but technically this isn't a Nissan. It's a Figaro, a Datsun Figaro at best xD
