Man, I only caught the last few minutes of the show, but whatever the comment was about Josh Allen & Jared Goff seemed to really get to Booner. He seemed genuinely baffled, befuddled, and perhaps even flummoxed, and possibly questioning the very nature of reality itself. I missed the start of it, but needless to say I'm intrigued, and I gotta know all the backstory. Okay, I might have been a tad hyperbolic here, but there's certain words that I enjoy using, but don't get to use all that often, so I saw the opportunity and went for it. I might be better off without the context, as it might not turn out to be nearly as wild & wacky as it seemed, but I'm gonna go back & watch it anyway.

Me to and I was responsible for it. This goes back a couple weeks, but I have and know every statistical data point for every active QB in the league and Booner's seen some of them, he was previously leaning in a little with me. Since 2017, Goff, Mahomes, Herbert lead in every statistical passing category over their best 4 seasons including 22, and 2023. Him and Lukas, both like Allen, and aren't accepting that Allen's passing stats are not superior to everyone. It's a myth. Goff has 1k more yards over 4 complete seasons, as does Mahomes, and Herbert's on pace as well. Lukas brings up arm "strength" another myth. Jared Goff's velocity in the combine was 58mp, highest ever for #1 pick, and since 2008 the combine has only seen 6x exceed it. So, everything that they like to slight about Goff for whatever reason into their recurring narrative is fake news. Hearing that seems to have sent Booner off. Goff has been to a Super Bowl, he's been to two NFC finals, he beats Josh Allen in every passing category but total TD's. If they want to say Allen has better legs, that makes him a better value to some team, sure. I don't ever debate that. But this is about being a arm throwing QB, and whatever they say about Allen, stats, and accomplishments BOTH show in every way that Goff has done it better in the NFL. It's not a debate. It's just them disagreeing without facts to back it up.
