CRUSH GEAR - The BEST toy ANIME  

Very fond memory as a kid putting the falcon together, i stayed up past my bedtime and remember seeing my mum come home late from work, i still had the light on so she had seen me up all night trying to build it. All i remember is id assembled it most of the way but i think i had the wheels installed backwards and was upset i couldnt get it working right. Mum ended up having it fixed by the next morning since i think she enjoyed the tinkering with an unfinished product just as much as i had putting it together wrong haha

I'm Australian, so I *absolutely* know about Crush Gear. Shoutouts to my Japanese teacher who let us watch an episode at the end of a school day. I'm shocked it never aired in the States.

This blew my mind, i have a very faded memory of playing with crush gears when i was a child in New Zealand, i remember tinkering with the things and putting them up against other neighbourhood kids crush gears. Then going home and watching the anime on tv is peak childhood. Going to give the anime a watch as an adult is going to be enjoyable and maybe start collecting crush gears for my room too. Now Im going down a rabbit hole

Yeah I play with some local back at Indonesia and its pretty fun and there a lot of factor to put into consideration There usually a weight limit, and clearance limit so you have to choose your part carefully Sadly most good part hard to find and expensive

I've never heard of this, but it looks very endearing! It almost seems like a pre-cursor to the Gundam Build Fighters sort of series, but the same could be said for Beyblade haha.

This was the anime that made me a full fledge weeaboo, and i had no idea it was the most underrated gem to other people

Beyblade was something I liked Crush Gear was something I LOVED

This anime was the Bakusō Kyōdai Let's & Go!! of the 2000s.

i used plasma dash motor for my garuda eagle and ultra dash motor for my garuda phoenix. Both motors are illegal in a mini 4wd tamiya tournaments. However, both motors are really fast and powerful for my crush gear. Just make sure you use tamiya grease on the gears or else it will get ruined.

I remember seeing the show as a kid, but never got the chance to get a hold of the toys. Definitely love this video.

I love stuff like this. This reminds me of BattleBots. I build a ton of gundam model kits so I love the building aspect of these. I'm definitely interested to see more videos on this. Keep up the great work.

I actually know it because it was on TV, and was one of the many 2000s toy fads where every kid at school had one during that time, like Beyblade and B-Daman.

I think the way they battle reminds me of the hex bug battlebots that battle each other in a similar style arena.

Oh shit I saw battling cars and assumed they'd be like beyraiders but these are completely sick. I see why they have still have tournaments.

i never got the time to finish this seeries in my childhood but being an adult i finished this 6yrs ago,and ill keep this seeris above beyblade burst most seasons,i cant believe tat beyblade can ever be boring,where is this takara tomy going with this

It's strange why crush gear turbo didn't released for Gameboy advance since it was gaining popularity on 2002 and 2001 but no the only portable system it was released for was Wonderswan Crystal

I'll definitely be checking out this anime, it's looks really interesting. And the toys look fun too, they kinda remind me of Takara's Kabutoborg, but a bit more extreme in terms of movement.

We had it in New Zealand too (we get everything that Australia gets) was really surprised to here NA didnt get it at all during your live stream the other day. There was some weird anime things for that period where Australia/NZ got different versions of anime compared to NA like Card Captor Sakura (we got the same dub but an english version of JP opening them and the episodes in correct order) so probably something like that with Crush Gear. The toyline here never reached like beyblade level in popularity a lot of that was due to cost ircc Crush Gears were about $30-$50 for the kits. I dont think we ever got the stadiums too, there ended up being quite a lot of bootlegs here which were cheap. Within my friend group at middle school a lot of us had 1 or 2 legit ones and a few bootlegs. I always found the customization so interesting with crush gear there was a lot to it the effected how they worked even the different positions you could set the battery back to effecting the spin/dash. The anime was really good but im not surprised since sunrise did the anime, I never read the manga though. Was talking to a friend whos originally from the Philippines about crush gear recently, she said there is still a community that plays it over there too

For years I've had this memory of a character walking onto a road with a truck coming about to hit them but then they get saved by their brother, I think this might've been it! My mind kept jumbling things together cause I swore this happened in Beyblade but I could never find it so it had to be something else.

It would be cool to make a homebrew with a mini4wd kits...it would probably be op with 4wd lower center of gravity..

One roadblock with these (and stuff like b-daman) compared to beyblade is space, I feel. The stadiums are much more cumbersome to either store or set up
