I don't think it's technically a blunder. The computer prefers black after white queen captures the rook on a8

At 8:35 send the D or E pawn forward one, they wont take then ur queen might be free if bisbop b 7 doesnt come next. At that point just hide behind it then back out.

At 24:51, how is he not winning a piece with knight h6? Only move for king is h8, rook f7, protected by the knight, queen has to move, without any spot to protect the hanging bishop on b7? I'm sure someone better can explain the negatives of this variation~
@TheHomicidalTendency
@TheHomicidalTendency 6 лет назад
Nh6+ black just captures it with the bishop. Bxh6 Qxh6. Leaves black soft on the F8 square but white doesn't have enough material to force anything. Game looks complicated pawns vs the bishop if simplified should be winning for white, I'd try to trade queens and keep the rooks on as black, as white I'd try to keep invading and trade everything if possible.
@87rtlandry
@87rtlandry 6 лет назад
PhilNEvo I agree with the reply above. I don’t see how Black is winning a piece here. As the Bishop can just take. There’s no followup.

Just 7.Bb3 with a slight advantage. Admittedly 7.Bxf7?! is more fun in a quick game 7...Kxf7 8.Qh5+? (The game is still equal with 8.Qf3+ Nf6 9.e5 d5! =) 8...g6 9.Qd5+ e6 10.Qxa8 Qc7 In the game 12.a4 Nc6? (No, just 12...b4! the other alternative Eric mentioned) 13.axb5 (13.Bf4! e5 14.Bxe5 Nxe5 15.Qd5+ Kg7 16.axb5) 13...Bb7= 14.Bf4? (14.Qxf8+! Rxf8 15.bxc6 =) 14...

Isn't this cheating though? I mean, a ranked game and you are a room full of players against a single opponent?
@yanair2091
@yanair2091 5 лет назад
No. The fact that the room is full of players who are not nearly as good as the two players is actually disadvantage. The children are probably the reason why he missed the best move in the first game, when his queen was trapped.
@victordeluca7360

Yea, having to explain your moves as you play them and listening to dubious suggestions sounds like a great way of cheating

@TheHomicidalTendency
@TheHomicidalTendency 6 лет назад
First guy was probably "toggling". I'm around 1900 blitz on lichess saw some of those moves, but I doubt I would make such strong moves consistently in a game that complicated. He did probably stumble into the queen trap and put it in an engine to see how to execute it properly? But then his Nc6 ( I think that was the square) Eric said wasn't strongest based on engine eval and that's when I would assume he would've started using an engine by. Some of those later strong moves are easy to find tactics if it was a puzzle, but to keep making them over and over in a live rapid game smells fishy for what his rating shows. Eric stumbles with a couple of blunders in important positions, so it is possible it was just luck, (Personally betting on engine use, those blunders weren't dropping lots of material)

What are yall talking about, that guy didnt even have to do anything special, eric was making mistakes and his opponent just capitalized on them
@chaiduc5251
@chaiduc5251 5 лет назад
@@TheHomicidalTendency i thought something similar, this nathan guy executed strong moves pretty quickly, but frankly, 1900 is quite a good elo so i guess it can be fine
@yanair2091
@yanair2091 5 лет назад
Ridiculous. I'm hardly 1600 and I saw @8:50 Rosen missed Na3, which saves the queen. He made at least two more mistakes. He was obviously distracted by children.
