Wow the trombone guy really wanted to be heard didn't he? He was drowning out Angelina who was singing the song as it should be in a soft voice. Now if our girl was a Diva, she would have tore him a new one lol. But She is an Angel!

One of her most impressive, professional and subtle performances ever! A beautiful musical dance with the trombone player too, who seemed to be extra inspired by Angelina! As usual she makes it look easy, which I know it isn't! Live!!!
Angelina as a preteen jazz master class singer, she stands toe to toe with any of the past or present Jazz singers. In most cases I think she even excels beyond them , she is just captivating and hypnotic in this performance.
This performance is right at the top of my list of favorites by Angelina. I think it is jazz at its very best. It was one of 14 songs she performed at this 2017 concert when she was 11.
Isn't that the most wonderful smooth jazz you ever heard? My god, love this song and Angelina is the icing on that with her superb vocals. Big shout out to the fabulous trombone player and the great jazz band that she has performed with many times. Thanks Deborah.

I have a very strange life and do not have the means to get the book or become a patreon yet, but I am working on it. I have purchased from her store and I want to be a substantial patreon member to help her grow. For five years now I have listened to no one but her, happily I might add. I do not understand it myself but I just do not seem to get tired of her voice.

This girl is so very much a singer with her roots in the genre of jazz. Julie London was a fabulous jazz singer, as 'of course' was Ella, but Angelina just has a way of tweaking her jazz ballads to where the listener is transported to another place in time,feeling totally mesmerized by her vocals. To be honest, the only other singer that could do that to me was Billie Holiday.
@ridgemanron Angelina is a magician with it! I do want to add that we all have our personal favorites. Angelina is supremely gifted and still evolving. You mentioned Ella. Ella is a goddess! Her scat ability and interpreting every song that came her way are unparalleled. I hope Angelina continues to blossom so that she too can have a legacy. No comparisons. There's room for more musical genii on top!
@@allab33 I was most impressed by the respect she showed for Ella's version of 'Every Time We Say Goodbye', knowing that it was as perfect as perfect as could be. What she did was simply 'slow it down', but not much more differently that that adjustment. To me, it was the most moving version of the song I have ever heard, and when you take into account that it wasn't a professionally created set-up in a studio, but simply singing on an outdoor rooftop with a single guitarist just 'keeping time', was an astounding achievement by a 10 year old girl. I'll end by saying I read a recent listing of 'The Top 50 Jazz Singers Of All Time' and Ella was #1, followed by Sinatra, Nat King Cole, and Billie Holiday. Even considered in the same breath as these 'Giants Of Jazz' is amazing by itself and this girl 'definitely' deserves to be.
@@ridgemanron I don't doubt that Angelina will become a part of the landscape that's REAL MUSIC. I only wrote what I did because of an "inflection" in your comment if that makes sense in written word 😊. I am a big admirer of her gifts and hope she achieves whatever her heart desires, whether music or not.
@@ridgemanron also, I still consider Ella's version the one to make me cry. That perfect pitch and velvety treatment, coupled with a grown woman's understanding of the lyrics, all of that magic solidifies in liquid honey sound. Again, we all have our favorites. And there can definitely be more than one 🙌
This is my favourite song from my favourite concert! With this band she had at least two concerts before, here , July 21st 2017 some extra magic happened, the band were on top form, they wrapped the music around Angelina's vocals, she was so much in the moment, she felt every word, every note, she took us on a journey to that special world that she inhabits whilst singing - when I eventually invent a time machine I will be going to the very day, over and over...
Debra, this is one of my 50 favorites which belong in my "top 10". Deb, she sang this spectacularly and wasn't that a nice touch with the trombone solo.

Thanks Debra for doing this. As I said when I requested this, it's totally different from the other performance you reacted to a year later when she was 12. There the 40+ piece Norway Military Band limits Angelina's ability change it up, because everybody is playing the sheet music perfectly, as they are suppose to. But in this concert with a small jazz band, Angelina can completely immerse herself in the music, singing it as she feels it & the band follows her lead wherever she goes. It's just beautiful to hear & to watch. As Judge Lisa said to Angelina at her audition on NGT, "You A-R-E music!" and she was right.
Yes. I actually recorded this reaction 3 days before her birthday but was able to edit it at the very end to reference the fact that she is now the ripe young age of 16. I tell you, when I first saw her at the audition of NGT, I could not believe what I was seeing. I watched those videos over and over again so that I could see and hear the judges reactions and knew that there was someone else out there that was feeling the same way that I was. Now ALL THESE YEARS LATER...lol, I continue to listen to her perfomances again and again and look forward to feeling that Angelina magic with every note that she sings.
Great reaction, this is same concert she sung, "Diamonds Are For Ever". There is a rehearsal video of this song and she is goofing around. It's nice to see her in so not serious moments and knowing she is enjoying herself. She is something to enjoy, God Bless!

The natural talent that Angelina was born with is understandable but coupling that with that out of this world voice it then makes the magic all happen for our ears.
