I love how this series included the main character's family members, such as Peter's father, Janine's family, Winston's father, Aunt Lois, Ray's Aunt Lois, always a nice touch, (Garfield), Lorenzo Music. Wonderful memories, take care, and all the best.

@@coltonstillwell3590 The massive Imp from "Janine's Day Off" plowed through one wall; probably cost a few hundred thousand dollars to fix that! Stay Puft phasing through was a smart shortcut. In "Revenge of Murray the Mantis", he was the only ghost to form after shutting down the ECU.

I the fact they all be tripping on Vekman for tripping on Slinger, for bad things. So, when Slinger does it them (or individually), they be tripping and want to do something to him. In other words they're all hyprocrits (except Peter).

For a change Janine and Ray are the ones getting annoyed with Slimer and Peter is left alone. Later on the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man will be a friendly entity and I believe assist the Ghostbusters.

Very good episode, love the battle with Stay Puft, oddly I initially didn't care much for this episode because I was put off by Uncle Cyrus's close mindedness but once I got past that I grew to really enjoy this episode.

Well, he is still a ghost. But he isn't The Destructor like he was in the film. He is actually a reforming of leftover Gozer Spiritual Energy, like we saw in Citizen Ghost.

@@lofthouse23 Though, despite that, I'm still mostly on the team "not Gozer" for the cartoon for the simple fact that in both the movie and video game, the destructor form had to be physically destroyed and couldn't be captured in a trap as Stay Puff wasn't a ghost. Like I said it's a plot hole.

@Shadowhawk28: It's not a plothole, this Stay Puft is clearly a ghost, and a different entity from the Gozer demigod version we saw in the movies. It even has a different personality, as shown in the Murray the Mantis episode where it befriends the Ghostbusters.

Actually if you watch carefully the whole scene you see that it's Egon, but by animation error they gave him the colors of Peter.

I really appreciate the way they wrote and portrayed Uncle Cyrus as a character. It's too common and too easy to have the "meddling parental figure who thinks 1 of the main characters should be doing something 'better'" archetype be intrusive, illogical, and generally annoying. But Uncle Cyrus is an obviously dignified man whose concern for his nephew's potential, while an obstacle, is not hostile. Granted, he's not entirely courteous to the rest of the Ghostbusters initially, but he also wasn't openly antagonistic, and he has worthwhile and intelligent perspectives ("There are no small jobs in science, Egon"). I think it's laudable that the show went with this nuanced and respectable approach to Uncle Cyrus; it would have been easier to take the more common low road and just make this obstacle of the day wholly frustrating.

1500 miles from NYC could mean locations like Oklahoma City or Fargo, ND. Although there are few universities in west/central Nebraska and Kansas wich could be the likely locations of the mid part of this episode where Uncle Cyrus Spangler has his lab.

I’m pretty sure there was an intent on showing this episode for the fans to catch the Midwest reference, where Spengler’s uncle lives. The movies + the Real Ghostbusters are as far as I can tell, part of the same cannon. This may give the audience some clues to the location but of the “Afterlife “ movie

those are good episodes as well I Really Wish that Dana Barlett would had appeared in this series like Louis Tully Did It would had made more sense of having Dana in the series oh well Janine did look great at every hairstyle and clothing she had the train to oblivion and cabinet of Calamari are great episodes as well Drool the dog faced goblin Boo - Dunit Partners in Slime the Revenge of Murray the Mantis a Ghost grows in Brooklyn Rollerghoster I Am the City The Devil to Pay and more are fan favorites of mine as well the funny moments to laugh at hopefully we will see more episodes on this channel and maybe some of the later episodes as well .

@@mariahbertwell2630 I do like "Don't Forget The Motor City" a lot but wasn't big on the other two episodes, I'm actually okay with the series not having Dana Barrett, episodes like Boo Dunit, Rollerghoster, I Am The City and A Ghost Grows In Brooklyn are IMO very underrated episodes, another episode I loved that I feel is underrated is Who're You Calling Two Dimensional

Egon uses a calculator in the movie to let Ray know how much the interest rate on his mortgage would total. So the writers were probably keying off that established trait.

I always wondered that, too. I vaguely remember having a retcon for this back in the 80s. I don't recall it all, but it had to do with the four Spectral Ghostbusters from Citizen Ghost-- who were comprised initially of PKE from the crossing-the-streams incident (and little blobs of marshmallow residue)-- merging together when they were trapped/contained, and then reverting to their 'chosen Traveller' form once they were no longer attached to the buster's original khaki uniforms. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mGRzbP5RhNA.html

Then again, there's always the 'Take Two' defense, for any continuity error between movie and cartoon. The episode Take Two establishes that the cartoon characters are the 'real' Ghostbusters, and the movie was a fictionalized Hollywood account of their lives. So any discrepancies can be taken with a grain of salt.

Oh, and... they show the cartoon busters trapping SOME Stay-Puft ghost at the beginning of every episode, so that's another possible explanation.

@@fredcasdensworld But they said they defeated Gozer in the Episode Citizen Ghost and you see leftover marshmallow residue on their old uniforms. Though, despite that, I'm still mostly on the team "not Gozer" for the cartoon for the simple fact that in both the movie and video game, the destructor form had to be physically destroyed and couldn't be captured in a trap as it wasn't a ghost.

@@ETH5626 It's not a plot hole, since there are countless episodes where the Ghostbusters (mostly Peter) ended up with some gunk on them even after the ghost was dealt with Besides we don't know exactly who the REAL Ghostbusters dealt with Gozer, we just know in their universe, the movie is a just a re-telling of events
