Thanks Hunard!! Yeah these are really good. At gigs they are pretty much dummy-proof! Just put your foot on it and go! Kirk Hammet would approve! 🦶Wah-wah-wah -wAAAAAH!
Nice! So when your foot is off and the toe-end springs up, does it disengage the pedal entirely as if you’ve clicked it off with a traditional Cry Baby?
Yes, correct. There is like a 1 second delay, then it turns off on its own and your back to normal. There is a pot inside the wah pedal that you can fine tune the delay time( how long it takes it to disengage). I plan on doing a video of that function. Rock on!
Thanks man. I just set it and forget it. If you are looking at the input side of the wah, I usually set both knobs at 9 o'clock. I like the boost "on" for rock/metal, and I turn it off for softer styles. On the 4-way slider, I like the 2 and 3 position best. It all depends on your amp, pickups, speakers etc. It's pretty versatile, so I'm sure you'll find a great setting for your rig. Don't forget to subscribe! Thanks, rock on!
No, I have not noticed any tone suck. This wah wah has a true hardwire bypass. I don't play with a totally clean sound though. Also some of my other pedals like my TC electronic polytune 3 have buffers in them, that really help avoid "tone suck". I'm using the the 4 cable method in my rig (4 - 20 foot cables) so the buffers really helps. Good luck bro. Subscribe to the channel, thanks!!
Yeah, man. I was blown away when I first saw one. Had to get one. It's great, and so easy to use. Thanks for stopping by the channel, don't forget to subscribe! Thanks, rock on!
I think you would really like it. Less tap-dancing with the automatic on/off and way more options/features. Even with years of practice on a traditional wah, I still occasionally fumble with it, or have to STOMP it like it owes me money. Not anymore!
I think you reversed your V and Q markings... but a good review anyway. It's like the Vai Bad Horsie (which I have and love) but unlike the fullsize and mini versions of that pedal this one has more options on the tone/volume. Think I'll have to put this on my list of 'someday' pedals! Thanks!
Welllllllll... just looked at the owners manual for the unit on Dunlops website and they've labeled the knobs according to how you marked it by hand. And yet... on the bottom you can clearly see at 1:47 the label shows the knob closest to the end of the pedal as being volume, not range/Q. Huh. So the label on the bottom of the unit is goofed up? I noticed in your video the changes you said you were making matched with the audio changes so was trying to understand that. Am I crazy? Hope they got that bottom sticker fixed!! LOL!! Nice playing for your demo btw!
Last comment, I promise. Love Sweetwater but noticed they've got it listed at $160 while the Dunlop site has it at $150. Maybe shipping isn't free on Dunlop but thought I'd mention for those thinking about picking one of these up.
@@3dsman I never noticed that. haha. Good eyes man. Yeah, must be a typo on the sticker. Its been velcroed on my board since the video, so I never see the bottom anymore.
the only thing i don't like about this design is that you can't hold the wah pedal down at the heel position to achieve the muffled sound to do a slow sweep all the way up, or do a cocked wah sound without holding your foot perfectly still. but then again i hate the way you have to turn on the other wah pedals. they really need to design a wah that addresses both of these issues and i have yet to see one. please someone, reinvent the wah!
Some good points. Both sounds ARE do-able with a bit of finesse. Just got to fight the resistance of the spring for the "cocked" sound. And for the really slow sweep from heel down to toe down, just slowly engage it, but you have to find the sweet spot, so it doesn't dis-engage. There is also a Auto-Return "Delay Potentiometer" INSIDE the pedal to adjust "ring out" time. I have not messed with mine yet, (probably will this weekend), but that might give you what you are looking for. That way it ring's out longer, and doesn't disengage so fast in the "heel down" position. Maybe N.A.S.A or Musk and his engineers can reinvent for you? Lol. Good luck. Don't forget to subscribe, thanks. Rock On!
No issues here. At first I did notice it, but I got used to it. In a band setting with loud drums, amps blaring, etc. it's not even noticeable. It sure beats stomping, and the loud "pop/click" sound when you engage the toe footswitch on a traditional wah. Or worse, when you think you clicked off the wah, walk away, and then notice your tone sounds like ass, then you have to walk back, and disengage it AGAIN! Haha
@@BrunoFreitasMusic I'm getting used to it also, but I would like to adjust it to see if I can find a sweetspot to my liking. I read the manual and found out there is an adjuster inside. I hope this is what I'm looking for 😆 Other than that, I freaking love this pedal! It saves up space on my board also 👍🏼
@@Charlie-vu6uj Awesome man. I have not messed with the internal pot yet, I just left it stock. I'll probably get around to it one of these days. Good luck to you bro! Keep Rockin'!
