This is so sweet!!!! That’s definitely a girl phanty baby! Why you ask? She is so careful about each step where a boy would probably be more careless to just hop down and it’s the fall!!! Like humans of course!! Hehehe besides you can see her teet under front legs!! Haha you cannot tell if it’s a girl or bot by it’s genitals! Look it up if you don’t believe me!!! But she is super cute and smart as ever!!! She reach her trunk out to touch moms but for help but notice mom and other adult phants have their busy trunks in the wall holes to grab food from visitors! Hehehe they are such piggies!!! Always eating!!!! Lol The timing of the adult elephant trumping like it was cheering the baby on was So perfect!!! No one else in comments seems to pay attention to the trunk holes in the wall! @@EmpressLilith222 No they absolutely do not. They lack the gland structure to cry in the way we understand it, and humans are the only animals seen to actually cry emotional tears.
I too wish the same. Not only from the zoo's but also from the cruel masters, circuses etc. Poor creatures they don't have companions forests freedom and their herd. Love animals..

They're not stuck. They can go wherever they want in their huge enclosure at Chester zoo. It's enrichment where zookeepers place food in small gaps in the stone to give the elephants a bit of fun trying to find it.

The "profits" from entrance fees, restaurants etc. are spent on conservation projects around the world - www.chesterzoo.org/what-we-do/. And around half of the species kept at the zoo are threatened / endangered / critically endangered, so they are actually helping to save these species from extinction. Or would you prefer they release them all into the wild, only for them to be killed off, hunted or poached? In your own words, kindly STFU. Please :)
Why are they all so close to the wall? Trying to escape to freedom, they'll never know. Horrible staring at innocent captives, in prison. I can't believe I used to be that ignorant. Watching these beautiful creatures in prison. How dare we, Imprison. What right have we??????
Maybe do some research before you post such an ignorant comment. As explained before, they are close to the wall for enrichment - they are searching for food that the keepers have hidden to replicate searching for food in the wild. Look up the amazing work Chester zoo is doing in conservation and repopulation then feel free to comment again.

@@MarvelTriviaandQuiz The baby wasn't even in distress at all. He was literally just a baby so he was slow. I thought it was going to be obvious that the baby was scared or there was some element of danger. Therefor the title = Click bait. Therefore = Downvoted. If the baby was really in trouble the parents would be alerted and try to guide him down. Also it was only like a foot off the ground. Even if the baby falls it doesn't even hurt the baby. I thought it was gonna be a real log like on top of other stuff like 8 feet drop or something. That = click bait.
