Great cover dude! That Gibson was so in tune and the tone is perfect. I actually thought that the first 30 seconds of this I thought it was the original track. Beautiful Les Paul man that thing sounds great.
Thanks dude! I sometimes mix commercially so a lot of it is using the ear, but the basics I’d say is double track and hard pan the rhythm guitars (I just record one set off camera) so you leave room for the song. Also I buy the track I’m covering on ITunes so I get it in a high quality file and the artist gets some money. Anyway, in terms of editing, I don’t do any except a little EQ and sometimes compression on clean parts. Oh, and you usually need way less gain than you think. Gain doesn’t equal heaviness!
Hey Charlie, it's been a year, but after watching multiple different covers, yours has the best fluidity. It's like the original, especially the solo. Awesome work! I hope I get to play this on my own someday. :)
You got any tabs for this or any of there other songs converted to a six string!?!? Also what gauge strings do you use for this tuning? Can’t seem to find a actual set big enough for lower tunings
