In our Varisson Clinics, we generally prefer cryoablation to radiofrequency or microwave ablations in malignant thyroid nodules. In cryoablation, there is much less pain and during the procedure the doctor can see the frozen area continuously. The size of the ablation area may be adjusted according to the size of the tumor and in this area all the tissue can be killed completely. These features allow us to be able to treat difficult nodules such as cancers and toxic nodules more safely and effectively.
