That's really hard to say! I personally still had a really fun time in the way that a painful experience with friends can be fun. I do think if you have players who get really upset by losing characters or just arbitrary bullshit, they may want to sit out. Overall, I think I recommend it if you already own it but it is hard for me to tell anybody to go out and buy it when realizing just how many typos, errors, etc can be found for what is a decently hefty price for the adventure but it has a lot of great rooms to steal for other dungeons you may create :)

I'm about to run this adventure tomorrow so it was great to see the problems you all had so I can try to avoid them in my own game. I noticed one rules mistake when John said at the 51 minute mark that his dwarf had a -7 penalty to his reflex saves. The armor check penalty only applies to skill checks and not saving throws. The +3 Reflex save for the dwarf should be what is added to rolls without other modifications. Also in regards to the DCC version being based off the 5e version, that is not quite correct. This adventure was originally a D&D 3.5 module that was updated to both DCC and 5e at the same time. The skill checks are most likely left over from the original 3.5 edition, not from a 5e to DCC conversion.

I think the detect evil simply detects the opposite alignment and detrimental dangers. "evil" refers to enemies in this case.

I think having a bad layout for this module is only fair. The players are there to suffer needlessly, the GM should get some of that as well!

I had really been looking forward to this and tried to work it into my story before even reading it and grasping it fully (such was my hype). I didn't think I was reading it right but now I know I'm wrong. Do you have any other "big finale" type dungeons you might recommend more fully?

Off the top of my head, one of the other big DCC adventures that released in the last year was Jungle Tomb of the Mummy Bride which may have similar content that you're looking for. However, I've only skimmed through it, and not run it so I could be wrong on that. In terms of big finales in shorter adventures, the ending for the DCC adventure, Emirikol was Framed can be super nuts with a bunch of wizard shenanigans. If I think of any others after I've had my coffee, I'll edit this comment :D

The joke is that the place is called "Sneed's Feed & Seed" which is clever in itself and quite funny to those with a mature sense of humour but what's really just hilarious about it is that if you look closely at the front of this store, Sneed's Feed & Seed, you can see a line that reads "Formerly Chuck's". Now, this might go over the average viewer's head as this, THIS, is peak comedy. I doubt anything will ever be as funny as the joke about Sneed's Feed & Seed. Are you ready for this one? So, like I said, the place is called "Sneed's Feed & Seed" and this sign says "Formerly Chuck's", which means that when Chuck owned the place, well, I don't have to tell you...

I've purchase Crypt of the Devil Lich and its Map and Token pack. I'm looking for a set of the player handouts in color. Where can I find it? How can I get it?

My physical copies were black and white but you should have color pdfs of CotDL and they are in the back of that in color. At least they were for me.
