"Disco Descent (1-1)" from the Crypt of the Necrodancer OST Composed by Danny Baranowsky Releases on Bandcamp at dbsoundworks.b... on April 23rd! Coming soon to iTunes/Spotify/Everything!
This is going to sound kinda morbid. But I work in an emergency room, and any time I'm doing CPR this is the song that I think of to help me do consistent chest compressions. Works like a charm and I get to have a cool song playing in my head while we're trying to pull someone back from the maw of death.
@f1reflam303 yea, i looked up. The BMP needed to do chest compression is 100-120 BMP. It just so happens that this song has a BMP of 115 BMP, which is just in the right range of the BMP needed for chest compressions. (Oh, btw i used google for comparison)
**game gets nominated for best soundtrack for Steam Awards** "What? It's nominated? This is great! There's no way another game can-" **Undertale and Cuphead also nominated** "goddamnit"
@@viegomainjune I mean, I'm not biased or anything but Cuphead did have an absolutely jamming soundtrack. My problem with it winning is it only had one genre of music to go with it. It's music was good, but not diverse. Crypt of the Necrodancer and Undertale also kind of fall into that category too though.
get it and play. right now. fucking drop what you are doing and get it. this game is addictive and legendary. well worth $14 you will get a ton of fun and at very least a damn good soundtrack of music :)
this track has absolutely no business being one of the hardest bangers I've ever heard in a video game ost, I never dreaded losing and having to start over just cuz I got to hear it again
ca·dence /ˈkādns/ a sequence of notes or chords comprising the close of a musical phrase. "the final cadences of the Prelude" Danny, you sir, are a MASTERMIND.
I played this in the car the other day, and I have to say... hearing it on big-ish speakers, right after the first three songs of the game (the tutorial and lobby ones; I was listening to the whole OST) was downright glorious. On its own, it isn't one of my favorite songs in the game (though it's not bad in the slightest, don't get me wrong) but its placement... my gosh. This is SUCH good way to kick off a game! The tutorial songs are kinda quiet, almost underwhelming... and then this one is like, "YEAH, THAT REALLY WAS THE TUTORIAL... WELCOME TO THE *GAME* , BITCH!" ...now I've just gotta get around to actually playing it, lol
A solar equinox is a moment in time when the Sun crosses the Earth's equator, which is to say, appears directly above the equator, rather than north or south of the equator. On the day of the equinox, the Sun appears to rise "due east" and set "due west". This occurs twice each year, around 20 March and 23 September. More precisely, an equinox is traditionally defined as the time when the plane of Earth's equator passes through the geometric center of the Sun's disk. Equivalently, this is the moment when Earth's rotation axis is directly perpendicular to the Sun-Earth line, tilting neither toward nor away from the Sun. In modern times, since the Moon (and to a lesser extent the planets) causes Earth's orbit to vary slightly from a perfect ellipse, the equinox is officially defined by the Sun's more regular ecliptic longitude rather than by its declination. The instants of the equinoxes are currently defined to be when the apparent geocentric longitude of the Sun is 0° and 180°. The word is derived from the Latin equinoctial, from aequus (equal) and nox (genitive noctis) (night). On the day of an equinox, daytime and nighttime are of approximately equal duration all over the planet. They are not exactly equal, however, because of the angular size of the Sun, atmospheric refraction, and the rapidly changing duration of the length of day that occurs at most latitudes around the equinoxes. Long before conceiving this equality, primitive equatorial cultures noted the day when the Sun rises due east and sets due west, and indeed this happens on the day closest to the astronomically defined event. As a consequence, according to a properly constructed and aligned sundial, the daytime duration is 12 hours.
First impressions are often correct when it comes to videogame music. In this case, it's not just a taste of the awesome coming down the pike -- it's one of the best darned tunes in the whole game.
I'd say that's my favorite part, too. The best I can describe the feeling it gives me is that it feels like it really progresses the tune in a slightly different way than it was already going, in a cool way.
In my opinion one of the best tracks of the game. Great to listen to after failing an Aria run cause of the switches joy-con drift that made you miss that one beat.
i think cadence is related to Link... i mean, the sound when you do a "Combo" (Hitting enemies 4 times in a row without moving) *HEE* *HO* *JA* *HOAA!* seriously, listen to it ingame.
funny story, when the voice actress was recording the sounds for cadence, her neighbour thought she was going through some tough times and made her some cake :D
Good saving grace song; found it and decided to take a listen. Boosted performance after my quarantine sanity was drifting. Thank you for making these gems. Sincerely, Firefly
HHH I love this game's entire soundtrack, amazing job composing. I've been listening to the soundtrack ever since I found out about this game a few weeks ago, it's great to study/listen casually to!
I love how this song as the opener to the game (after the tutorial) kicks open the door, grabs you by the collar of your shirt, picks you up and brings you close to its face, then smiles puts you down and starts breakdancing while encouraging you to join in
Danny didn't make any bad songs, but my least favourite Danny's track is Larries' Lament. It's a pretty catchy track, but it's kinda boring when there's Meat Yer Maker.
Today I found out that, if you go into a replay after your run and lower the speed to 12%, the audio sounds like it's straight from a horror game. (It doesn't work the same in youtube, the way youtube slows down audio sounds different.)
i listen to a lot of soundtracks (because i have nothing else better to do) all of them have tracks i don't like. this soundtrack. i know it's a rhythm game and all, but this sound track is just beautiful.
