Fondé en 2019, Crypta fait figure d’étoile montante du death metal. Le groupe brésilien s’est rapidement fait un nom avec la parution de Echoes of the Soul, son premier album. Son style marie riffs agressifs, blast beats ultrarapides et parties vocales puissantes. Une énergie brute de décoffrage qui va mettre le feu au Summer Breeze 2024 !
Avec Crypta, le Summer Breeze Open Air 2024 fait battre le cœur de dizaines de milliers de métalleux. Quatre jours durant, les festivaliers savourent ce que la scène metal peut offrir de plus riche et de plus varié. Le tout dans l’ambiance unique et détendue de Dinkelsbühl, petite ville du nord-ouest de la Bavière qui accueille la manifestation depuis 2006.
Filmé le 15 août au Summer Breeze Open Air 2024 de Dinkelsbühl.

These two lead guitarists are a couple sorceresses! What a breath of fresh air to hear such great lead trade-offs placed so well in between killer rhythm riffage. The bass is gritty and nasty and the vocals are superb with many different voices. And then there's the drummer.....holy shit. All this on top of fantastic song writing and high energy performance! No wonder they're becoming so well received! Go Crypta!

At the Crypta show in Los Angeles they had local bands opening for them too. They even took pictures with those of us who showed up early to get in line, like a free M&G. They're fucking awesome.

I knew the band briefly, it was interesting, but somehow I kept losing track of them. While I was working on the computer, I played this live performance and immediately saw who it was... Hats off, I think it's my own opinion, but in the last 5, 6... 10 years, this is the best death metal act and the best live show by a band of this kind. Everything fits, the outfit, the show, the music is just brilliant, that's how it should be!!! Many, many boy bands ;-)) could learn a thing or two from this.

It's good that there are many women's bands with a great diversity of styles to choose from. Crypta, Nervosa, Burning Witches, Ignea, Nocturna, Jinjer, Asagraum, In This Moment, Butcher Babies, Arkona, Lucifer, etc., have been showing great musical quality in recent years, they deserve that their fame is growing little by little.
