What’s the difference between crypto Tokens VS Coins?
Both coins and tokens are cryptocurrency assets. However, coins have blockchains of their own, while tokens are built on existing blockchains, and usually represent some sort of a project.
Today I’ll explain to you what crypto coins and tokens are, without using any complicated crypto terminology or industry-specific jargon. With the help of examples and visual stories, I will also discuss the specific differences between the two assets, and explain why you should care about all of it, in the first place.

Good question! Not really, though - both tokens and coins are usually summed up in a few categories. Some coins & tokens can be securities, while other coins & tokens can be viewed as "currencies" - it depends on the project and the specific circumstances!

Hey, one of the main reasons is because Ethereum was the blockchain that initially launched (“invented”) Smart Contracts, and because it’s as established as it currently is. This leads to the vast majority of large, high-profile projects (such as stablecoins) being built and developed on Ethereum, since it’s seen as super-reliable and stable. Furthermore, Ethereum allows for transparency, decentralization, and interoperability. All of these features are super-important when building the future of the internet!

Not necessarily, no! It really depends on a few specifics, but essentially, there are surely certain fail-safes in place for this type of a scenario. It's a great question, though - I might make a whole, separate video about it, thanks for asking!
