The Protagonist of Crysis2 (Alcatraz) is actually silent, and Prophet's voice is only the one final sentence. But great, that we can finally hear him as well!
i started the game August 24, 2023 and finished in the same month of August as well. this game predicted a virus, police brutality from C.E.L.L, a river incident like the hudson river, it also predicted whats going on now. i dont believe in aliens but look up alien sightings right now of this year crysis 2 took place, there was a soldier that said he will no longer fight because what they have planned is messed up and he has a family. the alien invasion was planned to attack innocents and soldiers as a government cover up though. they are just corrupt people trying to get rid of people from "over population" i was shocked reading all of this. Nathan Gould in crysis 2 said "its human tissue, they are people" similar because these "aliens" are people in disguise to hide their identity
The games portray Alcatraz as a humble servant who did his duties while carrying on Prophet's work, and ends up sacrificing his own body for Prophet. Then the books, Crysis: Escalation, portrays him as a prisoner stuck in his own body, fighting Prophet to have his body back, and after a long, painful, internal battle, he surrenders and disappears from his own body. Truth be told, the writers and developers failed to properly shape Alcatraz at all. It was sort of conflicting. In the games, he doesn't complain or resist Prophet's final command one bit. He finds Gould, and does whatever Prophet would've done if he hadn't died. But as soon as his body gets taken over by remnants of Prophet, he suddenly becomes an antagonistic character in the book? Nah. I don't buy this one bit. You can't show a marine fighting to have his body back when the world is approaching it's potential end. According to how Alcatraz is portrayed in Crysis 2, he would've known that this is bigger than him. The end shows Prophet talking to him, which sort of gives off that they're more like friends and brothers, working together, hand in hand, sharing the mutual feeling of sacrifice. But in the books, Alcatraz's tone just changes to "my body, my body, my body", which is very disturbing, and off-setting. I wouldn't read the Crysis books if I were you, whoever it is that is reading this comment.
mrknockknock1 i liked his personality in crysis:legion. But i completely agree with you. There were inconsistencies all over the place, plenty of plot holes. Still there's so much beauty in what they have created, that i can't bring myself to hate on it. P.s. Alcatraz was saved by prophet. He gave him a chance to go out with a bang, otherwise he was as good as dead when he found him. Afterall the first level of the campaign is called "second chance", very fitting everything considered. "Death's only an inconvenience now, nothing more, we are all deadman walking."
@@lonespectre5329 Honestly, it sucks how similar Marvel already is with the Crysis franchise without even intending to be. Iron Man's suit ring a bell? Or the multiple references to Einstein-Rosen bridges? No more connections please, this is a unique franchise which doesn't deserve to fade away into Marvel's shadow.
C W Einstein-Rosen bridges are a completely independent subject from Marvel that only appeared once in the tail end of Crysis 3. And honestly, I would have never drawn a parallel between Iron Man and the nanosuit since they are radically different in function, design, origin, and purpose.
If anyone is wondering why the song is instantly familiar, it was used for the 300 trailer and is an awesome instrumental by Trent Reznor of NiN. This footage is all a kind of pre-rendered on 4 maxed out high-end gfx cards beautiful that you will never see on current gen consoles. Still, I think its going to be a great AAA title and a new benchmark for console and pc graphics.
So many memories with Crysis 2 , loved playing it on the Xbox 360 👏👏👏 loved the menu theme from Hans Zimmer, used to sit and listen to it for so long 🎶
+Zandanzs In the end he basically dies and gets assimilated into Prophet. If he did talk people might have started liking the character more and would get pissed by the ending. Instead it's an empty shell the player can project himself into.
The reason alcatraz doesn't speak is because of his vital injuries,Like gould says "His basically a corpse walking!" meaning his dead inside but the suit keeps him alive
Badass trailer even now, but its still funny during the gameplay scenes 0:52 where he is just spraying the gun in hipfire but not even aiming at the ceph lol
@16coreprocessor23 Because, if you empty the guns clip entirely, theres no bullet in the chamber. But if your reload a gun without it being completely empty, it keeps a bullet in the chamber. Thats why you'll see 40+1 on your ammo count.
Gota say I really like these trailers, not being cheap and using gameplay to showcase the game instead of set pieces. What they've shown looks incredible, definatly going to give this one a try!
@martinkomDK depends, what core 2 duo a 1.8Ghz or 2.8Ghz. and what's your monitors resolution (1680x1050). if you have a 2.8Ghz and a 1680x1050 you should be able to max it at 35fps (but I would put it on gamer soo you get 60fps)
@Sh1ekk but there are a few things wrong, at the begining they ask alcatraz something and when he doesnt respond they say it was because he has had to much to drink, and i dont think the mariens would recruite someone who is a mute lol, and at the end of the game the voice says his name is Prophet.
@Gerimax333 I was talking about the graphics part of your comment If they HAD made it for the PC only, I think they would make things better because they actually would be more focused on the game then multi-platformness
@tommienater It is the the same song as the one in the 300 trailer. The song itself has nothing to do with 300. Its called "Just Like You Imagined" by NiN.
@Gerimax333 It was developed on all 3 platforms, so it isn't a console port. Also, they actually made the PC version look better, better textures etc. and it's only running on DirectX 9, so when it has support for DirectX 10/11, it WILL look much better.
@hunter77361 alcatraz havent talked at the game at all because after he and his team was attacked by a ceph gunship, he was half dead and lost function and broke alot of his orangs and bones, it seems that one of those organs were his voice cords, also alctaraz dident say "They call me Prophet" at the end, it was prophet himself, as it appears to be that prohpet's "spirit" is still inside the suit.
@sharonwolfeU hey umm just wondering, your actually serious that you got from that site for free and the quiz doesnt spam your phone right? If so thx for the link
