@@kamdevil Ah yes,New York is destroyed recently and there were a lot of aliens out there invading the earth,at least it doesn't have a dangerous pandemic disease, right?Man I miss going to New York.
Still the best story... and largely unappreciated it is too. Jacob Hargreave was a brilliant character. A brilliant long term thinker trying to save mankind... willing to do whatever is necessary to achieve that. It's only at the end you begin to appreciate just how much he's sacrificed & suffered personally and sacrificed others to achieve that.
+Razvan Musat Very true. In my opinion (and it's only an opinion), Crysis 2 was the best in the series. I loved the story, how the invasion unfolded in New York, the spore as a bioweapon, and how it was so focused on the suit and what it could do. I especially loved how the nanosuit turned an ordinary marine (who was dying, and it kept him alive!) into a bioweapon of unprecedented power. "Alcatraz and the suit TOGETHER, that's the weapon!"
Shadowlurker015 Agreed. Plus... that epic ending. The music, the atmosphere... and those last words. "They call me... Prophet!" Gives me the shivers every time.
Absolutely, here’s 3 apocalyptic ways 2023 went down in fiction that I can name from 2 movies and 1 game are: Crysis 2- Alien Invasion from underneath New York City X-Men Days of Future Past- the Sentinels threaten the safety of all mankind while hunting mutants Avengers Endgame- A world falling into chaos 5 years after the Snap and when the heroes fix it, the universe is threatened with certain annihilation by Thanos Is something big gonna happen in 3 years?
And we used to complain that Crysis series had poor optimisation. In 2023 these would have been considered flawless compared to what garbage is thrown out nowadays.
What a game! I will never ever forget the day i bought it on xbox 360. The singleplayer hooked me in seconds and the story was truly interesting and mindbending. The multiplayer was just icing on the cake back than.
This is hands down one of the most epic and cinematic game trailers ever made. The editing, the storytelling, the score, the action, the shots - it all blends together seamlessly. Played Crysis 2 back in 2011 and about to do a re-run, which brought me here to this unforgettable trailer.
So many memories with Crysis 2 , loved playing it on the Xbox 360 👏👏👏 loved the menu theme from Hans Zimmer, used to sit and listen to it for so long 🎶
I love Halo. Always have, always will. But this game? This game blows it away in terms of gameplay. Crysis 2 was truly ahead of it's time and is an absolute icon.
Is it me or did they fit the music perfectly!? Not only is the music fit for the footage, but the timing is PERFECT! Like when it show's the suit being hit by the bullet and the after effect!
@lpaillet its actually the suit aka (spoiler) Prophet Alcatraz cant talk he's the weapon and the suit is prophet. they're embedded into one as you heard like "the suit is the weapon and alcatraz" in one of the mission. Prophet before he killed himself he was already in the suit so everything alcatraz saw and all the words that the suit was telling him like "Finish what I started" at the end was Prophet. Controller is Alcatraz. Hope you understand. I beat the story line 4 times lol
For people that wonder why Alcatraz doesn't talk. It is said during the mission where u and Gould go to a place right before Lockhart arrests you......the nurse in the room said Alcataz has fractured lungs or broken lungs and that without the suit he would be dead......so yeah This is actually one of the few games with a mute protagonist where it actually makes sense.
Because the aliens in C2 are so much weaker individually than the C1 aliens, I'm hoping the Crysis 3 plot will go like this: Ceph aliens have a caste system, C1 aliens were the scientists (used mostly robotic tech and used their freeze beams to preserve specimen), the weaker & more numerous C2 aliens are the worker/drones (which is why they themselves were on the front lines instead of using robots). Hopefully Crysis 3 introduces a new type of Ceph alien stronger than both...a warrior caste.
@spearkill Also, the nano suit 2 is so new, not many can be made. And when we're talking about a multi billion dollar investment, the money just isn't there to equip even a few.
@101azariah i did, that was prophet since he's like the second body for alcatraz. The PHYSICAL person controlling the suit is Alcatraz, and most likely the one talking back is Prophet and hell i cant get the guys name at the end, some german guy. But I cant tell for sure, lets just wait for Crysis 3 :D
When you are watching the trailers its hard to realise what great graphics this game has but when you play it on pc you can crearly tell its the most beautiful game around.
@Errrrbo From the gameplay I've seen, the heavy firefight points in the single player campaign offer a variety of options to take down the enemy thanks to the suit. For example you could grab a sniper rifle, leap from a bridge to a building whilst in stealth mode, take out an enemy and then relocate. Or you could use stealth, detach a gun turret and then let loose with the beast. I think this game will be way out of Homefronts league ;)
@LaDeXi Well, Crysis 2 isn't the first game, set in New York. But it could be the first game, that really works good to be placed in New York. With the destruction, and everything.
