The cod didn't steal the audience in my opinion. Is was the fact that the game was to graphically detailed to be able to run smoothly on the consoles and the multiplayer wasn't really that fun because of the frame rate and the performance. Crytek went to hard, graphically speaking.

there should be an attachment for the bow that makes it like a grapling hook, so you could like tether the pinger to something or zipline on top of it.

hunters have radar aka red dots on the map to find everyone. They rest of the non-hunters have an alarm thing that beeps louder and louder when the hunters are near. they have an EMP grenade thing that glitches the hunters radar enough to escape or whatever
It's hilarious to hear people actually assert that this is a Titanfall or Black-Ops 3, Advanced-Warfare, or Halo rip off! Especially since many of the aspects that made this game so great are what made both the earlier releases so awesome and both came out years before COD's sci-fii escipade and certainly titnfall. Specifically the first game is what i'm talking about tho i am pretty sure the 2nd was out before or right around when those other titales were coming out too. In other words, if anything - it as COD and Titan-fall who ripped Crysis off - not the other way around! Though i am not making that case either! I am so sick of this obsession i have recently become ever so cognicent over - and that's how the sci-fi fan community, whether for vid games or onto to movies and TV-Shows also, and that's this constant obsession with uniquness and constantly acusing different things of being nothing more than a rtip off of something they happen to like more. As if Halo, COD, and Titanfall all have the sci-fi shooter market on lock anything adding t this genre isn't needed and is in fact being created only to capitalize on the monetary gains that shoulda gone to the 'originals'. Which, of course, is even more hilarious due to how none of these titles are any where close to being super-original no matter how much you spin it. Crysis was/is a fuckin phenomenal game series and even took a kinda crappy plot from the first game and by the end here given something worthy in it's own right - though it certainly doesn't should eserve raving reviews or something, it's just significantly more decent than it was originally - that's all. but, set that to the side and you have one of the best 1st-person-shooters in history - and that's not hyperbole either! With stunning graphics and a far bigger, significantly cooler looking, and far better all around weapon selection than Halo and Ad-Warfare, (not to mention the simply patheti excuse of a weapon list in Titanfall which quite literally was one of the few cases i can recall where the lack of weapons were to such an extent where they were a major reason if not possiby the single reason that turned me off of playing it after a while of getting bored to death with the gringy-ness of the game play - let alone the constant inherent flaws in terms of the way the whole cncept eas based upon, like these weird gimic-like aspects like how there were a tiny number of titans while also though seemingly no other armour to speak of, or ike th whole lame as hell concept of jumping in and then jumping out and then jumping baxck in to these rediculously underpowered "mechs" that are about as hi-tech looking as shit we are probably gonna be able to build/design and use in the next few decades and crtainly not what - centuries from now - if im not mistaken). But for BO-3, there's no dennying though that it has just a great seletion of mind-blowingly badass looking weapons and mmany of them that it excels Crysis pretty easily on that front - that's for sure! Ansd as much shit as i see that game getting and Destinyy for so many sdeserved reasons half the time - the fact remains in my opinion they are boabsolutely ubelievably awesome games and that those two, warframes, Blacklight-Retribution, Tribes-Ascend, Killzone, Planetside 2, Mass effect, Battlefield 2142, Red Faction, and Deus Ex are really along side the Crysis series the Halo series are really the top echelon - best of the best sci-fi shooter games in the last decade in my opinion and za big reason for why despite the many flaws and dissapointments with Dest, the unconsciounable amount of fckin badass looking effective assault-rifles, battle-riffles, carbines, pulse-rifles, machine-guns and so forth along with awesome gameplay are both areas that it just like Black-Ops 3 and the Crysis series don't receive anywhere close to the level of admirations for. This is especially true when compared to what i frankly find to be the dullest ansdin most cass even, ugly as hell weapon selection in Halo and even worse in Mass Effect! Also Crysis gave you the player, the chance to feel like a real fuckin badass! referring to the satisfyying hyper-dominant physical abilities and attributes you and your Nano-suit provide in terms of gameplay! Especially because of how much i hated and still do to an extent though it def has gotten better i think, and that's the extremely unsatisying if not more like - underpwered/underwhelming abilities and attributes you as a super-human Spartan soldier is supposed to be.
Are you kidding ? This is the best improvement idea they had for Crysis 3 coupled with the fact the sprint and jump don't need energy anymore. It makes the game more fast paced and skilled, you can swap from armor to stealth mode in seconds, and it makes the armor mode useful at least.
Because it is. I downloaded the beta 2 hours ago, and I can't put it down because I love Hunter so much. Running around with a bow and infinite cloak, BEST IDEA EVER! But CELL are very well armed too.
The only thing Crytek can do to get people to play it again, They need to add more DLC for exsample they can bring back good old "Power Strugle" mod and they can add a new gametype where you play as ceph and they need to add custom armour.

Crytek, it would be sweet if you added a multiplayer mode were you walk around and pick up random weapons/attachments like the original crysis multiplayer, and brought back the vtol/tanks (the pinger isn't to impressive)
Yes, I was misleading with my statement. I was referring to the single player experience--campaign. The C3 mp looks like is better than than FC3 mp. Although, in a sad not, Crysis mp has really gone downhill after C1. C1 had bigger maps, over 40 players, many vehicles to use, and of course, we had the incredible power Struggle mode.
at 1:05 look at the top right and you'll see that their is a gametype called capture the spears (something tells me that it might be similar to capture the flag)
EA is very smart because they open up betas. I've never thought about getting this game untill i played the beta for a while. The same story goes for BF3 when they had a beta.

I really like the new hunt game mode. It is still in beta so there are plenty of things that are acceptable when it isn't working right. The biggest issue I'm having though is during hunt, I feel like I only have enough time to make a kill out as the hunter if I start as one. Normally it takes me a bit to die, and even if that bit is 30 seconds, it doesn't leave much room for killing opportunity. In essence, it feels like there almost isn't enough time.
Amazing game, just got my new pc running with two GTX 690 on Sli and I am running this on 2650x1440 resolution monitor at the highest setting at 90 fps, coming from console Xbox 360 and ps3, I got to say pc is the way to go if you got the cash to invest in a really good one.
I like how they make hunter mode look so organized and easy but the second you get close to a CELL soldier everything starts beeping and everyone goes batshit saying "OH GOD OH GOD KILL IT"
hunters should only have 1 arrow in thier bows, or start with no arrows, and they have to pick it up off the ground, i mean they have a nano suit, and they can see all the cells on the minimap, AND they have endless cloak the round ends fast, the whole radar thing, should go off when hunters and cells players are balanced.
This is how i would create the multiplayer experience if i could influence Crytek or EA. The multiplayer would have VEHICLES...LOTS AND LOTS OF VEHICLES(Crysis Wars status) with new game modes as well.
Iam not a huge fan of the multiplayer in crysis, Iam pretty much a singleplayer campaign lover but those mp maps look unbelievable. I just hop in the mp and join some empty server to admire the beauty of crysis

I love the multiplayer Beta so far on the PC, which makes me glad I just got a graphics card upgrade. The only problem is the hit detection could be better, I've had times I was killed through a wall by a Typhoon, and smacked to death when the person wasn't facing me. I'm sure because this is the BETA, that they'll fix it.
lol yea.. ive had that a lot.. it can scare the shit out of me constantly bleeping trying to find the hunter who is almost completely invisible.. definetly a tense game that keeps you on your feet
yes of course i am but well, crysis 2 it's runned by the same engine and it wasn't so laggy at times as it was in beta, and i ran everything on highest because my rig is great.
Down to 12 players on consoles...really time for an upgrade in consoles! IMO they are probably holding PC game quality back trying to build for the dinosaurs called 360 and PS3. Downloading multiplayer Beta for PC now :)
Well, if you want your money's worth, you should get FC3. It would give way more hours of gameplay and its a sandbox game. C3 would be like a big blockbuster movie that will keep you on the edge of your seat, but once is over, well, its over with, perhaps, little replay value. Although, C1 had good replay value because the map was way bigger and the gameplay was more versatile. If I were you I would buy FC3 and later, when C3 price goes down, buy it.
Lol that is true about the suit, but my point is that the game comes out once every two years. You would think that there would be more than tweaking the suit and adding two game modes. I did not enjoy crash site I felt like a cheap version of demolition. But then again it was only a beta and I agree with you in the fact that the suit is much better.
You have a good graphics card for a laptop but I'm not sure any single GPU laptop out right now can get over 40 FPS on BF3/Crysis 3 with 900-1080 resolution which is why I have decided to stick with a gaming desktop (HD 7970) and a tablet for mobile stuff. Both costed me about what a gaming laptop would cost and I love how fast the desktop is but it makes everything else seem extremely slow.

Fair enough I guess, but the changes in Crysis games are way more massive than other fps's in my opinion. I find it is very different, graphics aside, the changes in what you can do with the suit from Crysis 1 to 3 is massive. Having a different energy bar for stealth and energy is great, plus the sprinting uses no energy. Playing cry3 to cry2, I felt heavy and slow and had to conserve my energy a lot more. Crysis 3, more fast paced, more intense, more gangsta hood spankin bang time.\
Seems like the ps3 beta wont come till the store updates. That's around 00:00 a.m. europe CET. And makes it come at the 30th. I remember @Crysis saying that it should come to all platforms on 6 p.m. CET. This will make the ps3 port one day less. Back at the Crysis 2 beta ps3 version, players couldn't find ONE single match, I hope this one will have not a single problem compared to the other ports. And if it really goes 1 day later.. please add one day to the ps3 beta.

@shellfreak1234 As for multiplayer, it feels like Crysis 3 is the patch Crysis 2 needed, even COD has more to offer every year, the bad thing about all of this is that they might continue to go like this in the next Crysis and don't patch many things in this one and leave hackers roam around. I hope the finished product looks amazing on all platforms and comes with a huge day one patch to adress most problems.
