I knew this day would come. One of my all time favorites, now remastered, and not console exclusive. And it allows me to try out it's sequels which have all also been remastered. Perfect.

so disappointed with the way this remaster turned out. yea the crysis series never needed a remaster in terms of graphics but not taking the effort to fix the optimization issues is just bad. I do wish crytek all the best for their future titles and really hope cryengine becomes good competition to unreal.

They actually improved optimization (not by much though), but since OG art is better, I'll go back to OG if I want to replay this.

@@xentiment6581 It certainly doesn't. I get better performance in the original by a factor of about ten to one (as in, 150 FPS in a gorgeous crowded setting vs 15 FPS in the remaster). Not same settings though, the original still looks significantly better than the remaster on max with raytracing.

@@rayfan9876 same setting = same draw distance set by a command. Obviously settings arent equal. Medium in remaster for objects/vegetation is ~ very high in original. And if you have Sandy Bridge Quad Core or better, remaster is gonna run way better.

They had one job - optimize for modern PCs with more than a Core2duo in it. They didn't manage to pull that off, it's still very single threaded

Well finally. Bad idea to just release the remasters on Epic. You know what would be a cool addition to the remasters? Co-op, it doesn't have to accommodate the story, it's ok if everyone sees the story through the same character, since everyone is wearing a mask it won't matter, but the gameplay potential for co-op is good.

Glad this remaster came to Steam and I enjoyed playing it. The experience could even have been better without the stutter and performance issues though.

Already have this remastered in Epic games Library 😉, cause at that time Steam not published yet this game , but Crysis 1, Warhead , Crysis 2 in (origin EA😑) and 3 already in my steam library. Its one of favorite classic 2007 Fps ever.

I absolutely loved this game, every part of it! Loved the climax at the end and was super eager for Crysis 2 to come out to follow the journey of Nomad heading back to the island. Too bad Crysis 2 felt completely different in that regard.

If there's no multiplayer for the upcoming Crysis 1 this time, im still NOT buying it. Didn't buy the previous remaster too, because of this. Crysis 1's multiplayer was the best AAA titled multiplayer game i've ever played. I don't get why you guys are such stubborns when there's a great opportunity to significantly increase your profits.

i dont know what was the reason but remastering the trilogy wasnt a good idea after all, maybe rebooting the franchise was better than sailing weakly remastered games over all, dont get me wrong tho, this game has a good potential in my perspective, the lore of this game can go deeper and further

A few tips for next time you want to make a PC trailer: - capture at 60 FPS instead of 30 - disable motion blur (it legit hurts video quality once the RU-vid video compression algorithm does it's job) - play with mouse and keyboard and not a controller, or at least a mix of both if you absolutely want to pad couch gamers on the back
