They managed it because it was neither 720p nor 30fps.

Crysis 3 is a very graphically demanding game it was even impressive that it even could run on a ps3.

@@kraajkase and also lacked 75% of the foliage and other onscreen objects. Gimped physics and less destruction. The game was a low poly, low res texture mess.

Just started playing it on PS4 yesterday and don't understand the hype around it. I played like 2 hours of the first one and got bored real fast.

The Saboteur needs some love too.. The pandemic studios game set in WWII..

These remasters are for consoles,people comparing PC vs PC is just naive...because PC versions are good as they are, Ps3 vs Ps5 or xbox360 vs xbox series X,Pc vs Pc is minimal to none.If people are buying the trilogy on PC is just cash grab and naive,on consoles is night and day.Remasters are for consoles.PC is superior anyway.

@@lordmasterization I think every remaster is for consoles only...PC has mods and stuff.Just what i think,they should launch these remasters with a warning"PC version is just an update". Crysis 1 remastered on Ps4 pro with RayTracing is broken,Performance is crap while on a Ps5 it just works :)) in any aspects,so yeah most of developers are focusing these remasters for consoles...sad but true.

@@lordmasterization Funny how you say its gimped, when they wont even enable ray tracing for C2 and C3 on consoles, while it will be available for pc. They made a mistake for even putting ray tracing in C1, it came rather late in development, and it shouldnt have been there for the consoles in the first place, as even with their cheap-ish software solution, its not enough to have a playable experience on last gen consoles. It was a decent marketing move to give ray tracing to the masses and have it functioning even in DX11. Even Crysis 2 was made for PC in mind first, and you have evidence by having C2 running rather poorly on 360 and ps3 because they overestimated the power of those consoles. Although C2 should have launched with DX11 and high res textures right off the bat, but at least they came rather quickly. If it was made for consoles in mind first, it would have ran at a rock steady 30 fps while shaving off features for both pc and console, and thats not the case, for the most part the game runs bellow 30 fps on both consoles.

@@alexandrugabriel3839 Theres a lot of difference between ps5 footage and pc footage of crysis 2. The lighting being the biggest change, plus they redid most of the textures for C2 remaster unlike C1. Crytek clearly wasnt happy how Saber changed the art direction too much for C1R, so they decided to have a bit more control over C2/C3 remasters. Not to mention that both C2 and C3 suffer from a windows update bug that many people dont know the solution to (the bug is that the game runs around 60 fps and increased input latency no matter the settings). And also the DRM protection on C2 affects some users to play the game entirely, as windows sees it as a virus, so it refuses to launch the game entirely. C3 on pc will most likely see the least amount of change, but the addition of ray tracing, better particle and volumetric effects is enough to warrant it to be bundled with the other two games, rather than just leaving it hanging there in no mans land.

Crysis 3 mp died even faster than C2MP, I doubt they care about that. Plus if they are planning on making a new game they are probably going to do that instead, plus MP would require not only a graphics remaster but a network code

@@izaidv You are right this is not remastering and it shouldn't sell like it's a different version from the original. This is another way of saying "You can't upgrade your game to PS5 free because we need money.". If your game comes to a next gen console it HAS TO have these graphics and it ISN'T a remaster it is a port like you said.

@@bekirkagankaraahmetoglu4343 Well that is exactly right. Remaster is polishing, fixing, improving things like GTA 5 on PS4 or Skyrim Special Edition for example. This Crysis Trilogy is essentially do what Bioshock and The Last of Us did, update the resolution, framerate and clean things up slightly, label them a remaster, charge people, profit. Problem is, although they technically class as remasters because things were improved, technically any crossgen game like Battlefield 4 or Call of Duty Ghosts from 2013 or for PS5, games like Watch Dogs Legion or Resident Evil 8, class as remasters on PS5. It seems wrong for Crytek to take so much care for consoles and neglect PC when PC is why these 3 games are iconic.

Pc will have ray tracing and all versions will have svogi, so much better lighting . Can't wait. Playing crysis on switch and ps5 has been emotional for me too. I wanted it on both for so long. Crysis was literally a dream portable game for me for so long and now I have it!!

@@HugoStiglitz88 there is just one thing that I miss more than the rest. Power struggle - Mesa. Jesus Christ, it was SO FUCKING BEAUTIFUL. I still have hopes for a Crysis Multiplayer return.

They already released a "remaster" of the first game on PC and it was a massive let down. In some ways the graphics were actually worse.

@@psycold I played it. And sorry to say, but I actually liked it. I played crysis for the first time in 2008, still playing it this year, and I'm even playing the remastered. And in my opinion, Crysis remastered is what I was expecting. The original created a new type of graphic that was on totally another level. If you didn't liked the remastered, probably is because you were expecting a remake. And that's different. This is a genuine remastered, adjusting the textures and meshes, correcting some visual bug, optimizing the gameplay and leaving all the rest intact. There wasn't too much to improve in the graphic of the original. I even tried the mod Crysis EE, paying the patreon of the developers for having the mod earlier. Still thinking, the remastered is better.

@@ForsakenSanityGaming well it's not just about assets ,svogi has been implemented and the way game calculate lighting and shadows has been changed so they needed a lot of work to make it's look close to the original while producing more natural lighting with better contrast and overall colors

@@BioShockGX the way crytek and saber interactive are handeling remasters is different from other developpers . it's not just a port with upscaled textures and minor changes , new tech and big changes to visual set are being implemented which can change the overall look of the game as we've seen with the first remaster

also 0:49 vs 0:53 , the PS3 version looks way better when it comes to shading/lighting, obviously not the resolution or AA. PS3 version looks more realistic with the fog whereas the PS5 version looks boring in comparison

Well, as you can see the remastered trilogy runs at 60fps, so yeah, by implication the bad frametime is fixed.

Yes thats why we buy the remaster, for better colors........ I just want to be able to play these games again, 50 bucks for 3 games isnt bad. I want to experience to story again without having to buy a new ps3. And the smoother frame rate also helps.

Never mind i just done some research and found out that they're not adding multiplayer... again. Well, i lost all my respects for Crytek at this point. I'm not buying your remaster or any game that you're publishing from now on, sorry. You guys were my favorites back in the days but, no man. I was hoping that maybe you guys could add Crysis 1's remastered multiplayer again but there's no hope so there's going to be significantly reduce on your sells. You guys should've added it after your huge mess of last remaster. Seems you guys don't take lessons.

Yes! There will be a physical version for PlayStation and Xbox.

It's the ps4 version but running at 60fps. I'm assuming the 60fps mode will only be available on ps5 (the same as crysis 1) so technically speaking this is still the ps5 version.
