Goddamned I could never get the timing of the gem eaters down especially in the late levels.I love the way the swarm of bees just drop down on those later levels.I never finished the game but I did get to the end.
Hate to admit my "George Castanza" moment [his was with 'Frogger'], but I remember finishing this game at Disneyland (Aneheim,CA) in 1984 then seeing my moniker ("REX") still represented as the structure years later. My dad would say, "And what did that get you?..." [self gratification, I suppose?! lol]
Does anybody doubt this was the coolest game ever? I remember playing this whenever my family would go to Las Vegas, and Id head over to the Circus Circus.
I thought i was good at this game until i saw how quickly u finished the game. I finished it a couple ov times but no where near as quickly as u did it, i was very impressed by the way u flew through the levels. Takes me back 2 my school days when i used to sneak out and play the game in my local cafe, many moons ago ;) I spent a few 10p coins in this arcade game
The truth about killing enemies. You can kill gem eaters when they eat gems, only without the magic hat. With it you pass through them. You can kill berthilda with the magic hat. No other enemies can be killed. You just pass through them. Trees and gem eaters are stunned by jumping over them.
I used to be fanatical about this game in the 80s. I remember there was a cheat in level 7 or 8 where the witch would come out an do a dance with the trees. Damn. I wish I could remember it.
How smart of you on 6:50 to make the trees follow you and leave them stuck up there. Funny how your hand shows when you get killed to tap the video game. This game brings me back to elementary school.
